If u start by talking to her first, u may scare her! Keep smiling politely to her whenever u see her and when u notice that she doesn't mind u smiling at her and u sense she is comfortable then when opportunities come you can start talking to her. Don't talk too much for the first time, may be 1 or 2 sentences. From there u should be able to gauge she is interested to know you or not!

If you, don't know what to say, just say 'hi!' and introduce yourself. If you don't overcome your shyness, you will never be able to approach girls and get to know them. Only when you are able to score with girls will you be able to build self-confidence. That u have low self-esteem is only a lousy excuse u give yourself.
Stop this sorry attitude of yours.
Once you are able to be more comfortable with girls, it will become addictive and your confidence sky-rockets. Conversely, if you choose to remain in your own shell, you will never be able to build that self-confidence. The more you don't break out, the lower yourself-esteem and you'll be forever the loser. Losers will never score with girls! The choice is yours......... -

we all know whats going through your mind now....we guys are always like that...in our mind, there are thousands of "what if"
its not easy feat to just go up and say hi to a gal..
but one thing u mentioned, she always knock off earlier than you...
I am sure she knows your presence since you all are working in the same dept, just that no chance to talk..
so, if you ever had a chance to be in same lift, or bump onto her, same escalator or whatever so, start with "Hi,..how come you always knock off so early? eat snake ar?"...and of course, laugh lah...
firstly, though you haven formally introduce your name, but a lighthearted conversation is always good to begin with..from then, you will get to know her. At the same time, she will also know that you have been noticing her, but hope she doesnt think that you are stalking her..hhehe..
