hey, agenda, the situation u r in now reminds me of that guy. Of course, he did more than what u are doing to that gal. Buck up - be not afraid, go go go do what need be done to know her to make friend with her! Be lighthearted, polite, sensitive, clever to do right things at the right time!!

when she speaks, take note of whether shes English-spoken or Mandarin....
so next time when you talk to her you'll know which to use.... if shes English spoken you communicate with her in English lor.. if not she will feel uneasy if you speak mandarin to her
After both intro already, ask her things like whether shes knockin off or goin anywhere.... or how long shes been workin there....
Then you tell her you're pretty new and at times you cant find anyone to go lunch/dinner with, see her reaction... if she jio you along then good, if not then ask if can go eat together
dont talk until too formal la.... inject some humor if you wish to -
start with a smile

When you start work, just walk past her, smile, greet her and some simple words...
Like.. "Good morning... how are you?"... or
"Good morning... I've seen for working for sometime but don't know you..."
Come on... it's not weird to get to know a colleague right... -
I working on tuesday and thursday.. both times i went there to beo beo when off-duty, both times never see her
I fear the worst...... -
hey, agenda - be steady and steadfast - fret not!!! keep your fingers crossed! may b she took leave - or may be she has left!!!! So the moral of the story is do it fast to get to know her!!!! agenda, just go ahead with the motive of getting to know her and make friend with her. Don't think so much for the moment now. The more u think, the more nervous you are, and you will gradually lose confidence. Why don't u treat this as a training for yourself for a start rather than to keep thinking u wanna have her!!! Whether it works out or not,. take it as a learning experience. -

not all gals base on how good looking the guys are to make friend with them!! I have seen many gals having not so good looking bfs. In general, gals like to be with guys who have nice character/personality.

Agenda just go for it. Actually have the mind set of being friends first rather than thinking her as a target would help. Anyway you two would see each other for every working day right? just have a approach would do. so there are so many shy guys around thank goodness haha. cause i am too.

If you don't do anything to make the move, you will not gain anything for yourself. If you do, and do it the way that is appropriate and have done your best, then you have nothing to blame on anyone because you have done your part.
If becos of fear or whatever, you dare not step out to make the move, you will forever not learn anything and gain anything. Treat whatever that comes along as a learning experience. Who has not make any mistakes in life? We all have but what keep us going is we all learn from mistakes!!!! Don't let whatever mistakes, rejection, fear, to stop you from attaining your happiness, your "xing fu". Only you yourself are able to help yourself to get what you want, if you don't help yourself, nobody will.

And it would be really awkward to just walk over to talk yeah.. -
think, whatever it is , you still go ahead and smile. if she returns your smile and seems very friendly and doesn't mind chatting, you could say hi to her. If she smile and after that do other things or look away then the next time you see her smile to her again. YOu smile each time you see her and then when you are sure you wanna break the ice by talking to her go ahead.
