This are methods I tried when I broke up, works for me
1) Get damn busy (study, work, volunteer work)
2) Tons of sweat (exercise!!!!!)
3) Buddy seems so so so much precious especially this moment.
4) Diversion (once I told everyone I like a new gal - I actually dun know her at all. All my friend try to hook us up, the process was fun. We ended up as friend though, for there was really no action on my part)
5) KFC!!! I like oily stuff, especially KFC at times of stress..... See me eat KFC alone.... don't come near me! -

It took 4 years for me 2 forget my 1st relationship. The worst thing was we were in the same class for 2 years, and both of us frequently see each other as our CCAs were at the hall, at the same time. The ironic things is that the more you try to coerce yourself to forget, the notion of 'forcing' will inevitable cause you to remember more intensely.
People are unable to release themselves off their past is because they largely prefer to dwell what's in the past than to face what's in the future. It's always a choice for the majority to choose the familiar than to opt for an uncharted territory. (Esp. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius)
Rather the evil you know than the evil you don't.
And the root of departure is often not understood spiritually. Many often view failure in relationship as reason to degenerate and not reason to evolve. Some refused their cosmic lesson, while others reiterate their future relationship around previous flaws, forming this classic karmic chain that affects relationship after relationship... over and over again. Only a handful is emotionally wise enough to evolve positively, regardless of whether the motivation to evolve is of malign/benign source.
How long does it need for you to understand the theory of moving on? It depends on how fast you understood the concept of moving on. Because moving on is not simply just logical words said by somebody and you are then 'enlightened' to move on.
You must source for the reason within and sell it to yourself. If you do not believe in why you must move on, you will never move an inch.

It's hard to forget a past relationship but you know time will heal everything.
including your wounds in your heart.
Don't ever think that finding a substitue would help but just give yourself enough time to focus on something else.
It's the best way to distract yourself and most importantly to pull yourself up.
I know you'll always compare potentials with your ex but you must know clearly that he/she don't like you anymore so why should you make yourself so miserable by still lingering over him/her?
It's no point and not worth it at all.
Why not spend your time doing things you like and know more friends?
Just do your usual stuffs and believe me, time heals.
