missing my ex

Dear All,
I am trying very hard to stop thinking abt my ex and to continue with my married life. I know my hubby is the best husband one can find.
I have thot of keeping my ex as just a good fren but how to when I miss him every day and it's a torture. He miss me too, he says. Altho he regrets that we did not meet again sooner (before I married) he has asked me to try harder at my marriage since i just got married.
We are both trying to control our feelings but we both wish we had a chance to try again.
Can a person love two persons at the same time? -

Best of both worlds...? Yes... Unless you tell your husband about it and both him and your ex comes to an agreement to it... Which seems... Rather unlikely in your case... Besides, doing such an act greatly venture your marriage....
Your Ex is your love... But at the same time a potential threat to your marriage (though not a direct one...)..... Risk factor...
Ex + You = threat to marriage
Ex + You = Love (which supposingly would increase with time or degrade naturally)
As Love increases, threat to marriage relatively increases.
Side effects include: As Love increases, amount of time & energy contributed and risk factor to go off track relatively increases....
How well can you control yourself emotionally in the situation would be a big factor, including your Ex's control and your hubby's tolerance level....
If you have LOW or NO control, it's a gamble up to you to take... If you have semi or moderate control ENOUGH to let you step on the brakes. You can choose to carry on but REMEMBER the BRAKES when you know things are getting out of hand. But side-effects include inducing your Ex to fall deeper for you & your hubby's opinion of your relationship between you and your Ex. Not forgetting the chances for misubderstandings.... My hubby gives me a sense a security, that's why I married him and he is very loving towards me. But when I see my ex, my heart beats fast and I feel very happy when I receive his sms. i really hope that u will sort out your feelings ASAP before making any decision because i think that the emotions u are feeling towards ur ex may be because of the so-called "beauty of regrets" (Yi2 Han4 Mei3). or maybe it's due to ur disillusion as u've just got married and everything.
but think about it carefully. u wouldn't want to hurt the person who loves u (ur husband) and end up with nothing in the end.(which is highly possible)
if u ask me, i'll say let it go...let your relationship with ur ex be beautiful memories...now,please try to keep ur committment to your marriage ( i know u love ur husband) and make it work.. -

Its like, when i'm in childhood, so shiok, no need work, got $$ got toys and no worries, but when come older have to worry about work, the society, etc etc... i can never find the life we used to have in childhood... its applies the same threory.

on your part, i feel that you are being very VERY selfish..you only think for yourself.....have you ever thought of your hubby's feelings?? what happens if one day he finds out about it? he will be shattered...do you bear to hurt him?
as you have said, he is a great husband.........so why dun you treasure him?
in one's life, being able to become husband & wife is not at all easy.....i believe for your case, it's the same...both of you have to go through thick & thin in terms of love hurdles, understanding for each other and also a lot of other factors have to come into place.
I am not you...I cannot help you to make a decision...but think rationally, is it worth to give up your marriage for the sake of your ex?
meeting your ex may rekindle old feelings...but THINK......are these feelings just part of your memories?? memories that were so nice that you could not bear to let go? memories that have already past?
before you make any rash decision, try putting yourself in different senarios...
THINK...what happens if you leave your hubby and give up your marriage for your ex?? there are so many doubts to it.......you cannot be sure what will happen in future...there are so many uncertainties...
one, feelings you experienced with him in the past may not be the same for now as before if you go back to him.......
second, you have to start all over again..on getting to understand the person again, to give and care again.........
BUT, if you stick with your hubby..........it's a different story.....it's a relationship that is more certain.....you will have a nice hubby and a warm family..

unfortunately if i had to choose one way in this situation, it'd be to stick with ur husband. u have not mentioned that u are actually unhappee with ur husband. if u were then it'd be a different story.

Thanks for your kind words. I have made up my mind to stay with my husband. But recently he has noticed that I am not as happy as before. I have come to realise I can live with him but I cannot live without my ex.
In any case, I will try to keep the marriage going.
