If I may be honest with you...
I sympathize with you deeply for the misplaced love and trust; yet I would salute you - it takes so much to love another and stick it out with him during hard times.
But what I see here is a love exploited, and you giving without taking. True, we shouldn't expect when we give. But if the other party recieve and doesn't reciprocate - you should already guess what kind of person he is. I doubt he is one capable of loving someone else
I hope you will soon be able to find peace in your heart. It might be a season of grief to you now, but time heals all wounds - cliche but true. For now, at least you know you've done your very best. You may walk away now with pain and angst, but at least no regrets.
May I counsel you to focus on your recovery and to catch up with all the things you've left out. Do not worry or think of that worm, what goes around comes around.

There is no need to treat love/money as mutually exclusive, you should aim to have both! Have love AND money. It can be done, look at me.
The trick is not to try to get as much money as possible and not try to get as much love as possible. This is the Buddhist's Middle Way principle. -
