Expecting and about to go through a divorce.

Before the marriage, we were looking into trying to stay in the same country. Hence, we got married so we can spend time each other more.
I want to keep this child. It moves. It is part of me now. I cannot forsake it just as its dad has done.
I am worried how society will view me after this seperation. I feel I will be looked upon as the marriage failing is a failure on me.
I made a huge mistake getting married to a useless guy.
I am trying to isolate my feelings from this situtation and look at it from another angle but anyway I see it. I think its only fair I keep the baby.
He is sri lankan by the way.

From what i know of is they were former rebel LTTE group members who escaped to Australia and other countries. This is the reason why he keeps talking about being arrested ?

In our backward society, a divorced mother is already in a better position than an unwed single mother.

Contract workers, even on executive levels, are not entitled to paid for maternity leave.

I think at this moment you should take a time out from relationship....but ask yourself what do you want? explore options and look at what are the possibilities.
I believe you have already given up hope for your husband. He was probably not ready to be in a committed relationship.
