Killing your father or yourself would definitely not be a good solution. Have you tried Lawrence's suggestion? Singapore seems to take strong measures towards gambling addictions. They would most definitely try to help you, if you don't mind your father going to jail if all fails.

as stated by our beloved government, you would have the legal responsibility to tend to his basic needs, e.g. food and shelter, and medical treatment.
