oh by the way CAD cant 'clear' SE in this fashion
there is a newspaper in report in ST last year or two years ago
a) CAD will never reveal their investigations until its over
b) even if CAD did not have enough evidence to charge a company for scam, or for that matter, fraud, embezzlement etc, for MLM company it cannot also guarantee that its safe to invest in such companies
there was never a license for MLM activities, unlike MAS, who can issue license for financial schemes
and be aware that, even with license, its not a guarantee
MAS punishes banks and financial institutions from time to time for flouting the laws, even if its licensed
i know people (from certain companies) like to mislead the public by making certain one liner statements, but be aware the law is way deeper than people think it is
i always thought that people who like threaten lawsuits, like some of our SE agents here, musta have watch too much American soapy law drama serials

Many were left fuming as the company had recently issued a memo on their webpage claiming that bank transfers from their company bank to investors accounts would take 14 days instead of the normal 7.
Queues had stretched out of the company's office out into the lift lobby where this reporter was forced to interview several participants as many of the company's staff rushed helter-skelter trying to reassure panicked investors. There were emotional scenes as many people broke down in tears after being told of the company's imminent closure.
"It's not right", some of the people, as young as 17, lining up at the counter to process their refund, said. "My parents invested almost all of their life savings in this scheme, now they can't even withdraw their funds".
Many investors have threatened legal action against the most visible people responsible for this farce, including the company's mentor and adviser, as well as the company's president. At press time, they were not available for comment. A junior manager of the company sneered, "do whatever you want, you can't do anything to us, we are united! Our managers are all driving luxury cars and making 5 and 6 figure monthly salaries! Come sue us if you dare!"

Haiz, got a friend whose dad is low income worker, saved for 10 years to get his 5 figure savings.
Then poured it all into SE....sincerely wish him all the best. Even worse, he called all his friends in - now must put on a brave front and ask them to recruit more cos he cannot show his insecurity with the company...
And this goes on and on...a vicious cycle -

The Empire Strikes Back
Much Maligned MLM company Sunshine Empire has hit back at her detractors in the strangest possible way: By actively seeking to prosecute an annonymous poser of a false article on an online forum.
Said the president of the company,"I will not stand by while the good name of my company is dragged through the mud by this person posting false information online while hiding behind a fake identity. Only The Straits Times and The New Paper is qualified to post negative things about us!"
When the poster of the satirical "article" was asked online by a fellow forumner if he or she was "worried" about being actively sued by Sunshine Empire for making comments online, the poser of the original "article" replied, "suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue meeeeeeeeeeeeeee lorrrrrrrrrrrrrr."
Apparantly the creator of the comical article felt the company under fire should have much better things to do such as restoring their reputation before their empty promises are shown up for what they are. And since no one was named specifically in the article mentioned, he or she feels reasonably safe from libel suits. -

Here's the CRP for a GP in comparison for the last 4 months in 2007 (after Emcall's launch):

Jul --- 741.71 ep = S$1186.73
Aug --- 737.47 ep = S$1179.95
Sep --- 737.80 ep = S$1180.48
Oct --- 737.50 ep = S$1180.00
p.s. I'm quite disappointed at the rebates paid out today as I was expecting a higher amount due to the publicity online and in the press. -

What is your expectation of profits from SE, clean profits, does not include any commissions from inviting or dragging friends in ~ Just profits pay out from SE, do remember to exclude the commission u get ~

I won't know exactly how much u are paid in CRP, as it depends on the monthly global turnover.
There is no interest.
CRP is not guaranteed; it is a privilege for Prime status merchants only (BP, SP, GP). For example, a Bronze Prime is only entitled to a maximum of 300 e-points (S$480.) which is paid out over time, on the 10th of each month.
e.g. You decide to upgrade your merchant status to prime status so you purchase a BP for 375 e-points (S$600), thus you are entitled to CRP. Every month on the 10th, you will receive rebates, and this will stop once the total of 300 e-points (S$480) is paid out to you.
There is no ROI (rate of interest).
My expectation of profits? I am not the auditor. >_<
But I expect this; that future CRP for new phases of prime plans (restart phase 1) to drop. I mean, after phase 6, I don't expect it to go to phase 7. Probably, it will be similar to the transition from TaiChung to TaiPei in Dec 06-Jan 07. I am quite keen to see how long it will take for the current phase 6 prime plans to be sold out. -

Exactly. The publicity online and in the press not only got some people to demand for refunds, it also stopped the IN-flow of funds. Lack of IN-flow means the imminent end of a ponzi scheme.
SE agents keep trying to tell curious people that their sales went through the roof because of Lorna's articles. The internal SE memo circulating kept mentioning that it is a "positive thing". Of course, one wonders how it is a positive thing to be under investigation. It's like a man guilty of fraud smiles, nods his head, and says it is a positive thing now that the police have barged into his office and the accounts are going to be gone through.

Quite the contrary. I think they want o keep all these in so that no one can question their brainwashing intentions.
They mentioned that all the blogs were not under se mgmt. But immediately after the awards fiasco, almost all related blogs were removed. I think the main irene rexlee one went out too.
No one can question these things online, they hold conventions to refute the press but only gold partners can listen, they close blogs and forums.

still think there are 2 type of MLMers.
type 1. The simple minded, still thinking that this is a highly profitable scheme thus wanna share this miracle with all his friends.
these people generally i don't blame them, they intentions are great just that they didn't see the bigger pictures
2. Sinking in the hole, dragging friends in is merely recovering his own loses through commissions.
can cutoff all ties with these kind of so called "friend", nothing much to say liao ~
