If you've had a good relationship with the boss, and you parted with the company on good terms, then there's no harm in asking him to write a testimonial for you.
A good word from a previous employer never hurts when you're seeking a new job.

Well, well, the "once in 50 years" rain has returned in less than a year. My workplace was flooded too (Bt Timah Road).
The Burger King at Liat Towers is now a Wendy's, it opened on Monday...
