i actually went out to meet one of my good friend who is a lady and she is feeling very sad as she just broke off with her bf who has been with her for abt 7 yrs so i went out that night to console her but ended up in bed. it just happened very naturally and she knows i am married too and have a young daughter. I think that kind of situation is something we both cannot control but i know it's unfair to my wife and i don't feel so good either so i'm pouring out here. after that night, we agreed to treat as if nothing happen and we still good friends. if my wife knows abt this, i think most likely she will get a divorce and she will get the daughter and leave me. that night happen so naturally how to control the situation right . anyway, i know i cannot tell my wife abt this or anyone i know so i am pouring out here so i can sleep better at night. i don't mean to -

Seems that Ding is quite unhappy in his marriage.
It also seems that the more people scold him in this thread, the more defensive he gets, and the more he tries to justify his actions. Every time he responds to someone scolding him, it makes him think again and again about all that is making him unhappy in his marriage.
From his posts in the past, I used to think he is a loving husband. Where has that love gone?

Maybe I'm not fit to comment about how things work in a marriage, as I am unmarried. But I know a little about how things work in a family with children. A father who loves her daughter will not want her to grow up in a broken family. As a sidenote, also consider if YOUR father did the same thing... would you love and respect him?
Being the HEAD of the family, a father has to protect his family. I'm sure you feel the same way.
If you think about it, your wife is also hurting. She must be quite distraught when her husband doesn't come home. She also dun dare to question you why. Scared will push you too far.
Last time when she hurt you, you hold it all in. Now you hurt her, she also dun voice out. Both of you also keep suppressing it... there is a limit. You have reached your limit already.
You have to confess the hurt to each other. If you tell her she is hurting you... tell her "I was really hurt when you put me down in front of my friends." A woman who loves you will automatically stop. If you rem not so long ago, if your wife tells you she is unhappy, will you still keep doing the thing that makes her unhappy?
