most guys nowadays can acept that their gfs are not virginsOriginally posted by unwantedgal:oh gosh! u just so prove me right! how much to marry a girl?? marrying a girl who has sex with other guys is stupid? u make it seem like you would marry only a virgin regardless of the feeligns you have towards her. wait a minute, do you even involve feelings into the equation of a relationship? if a relationship is merely a cold calculation of cash and sex, perhaps you should really rethink your value system and the relationships you currently have in your life.
Another question to all guys out there. is this mr jaws an exception or the rule? i would lose all my faith in the guys of the world if you tell me mr jaws is the rule. hurry convince me otherwise before i just turn lesbian.
i think should value the girlfriend more than that...Originally posted by unwantedgal:do guys still value virginity? would you give up your girlfriend over that? how can you tell if she is still a virgin? can a doctor really see that you are one, or is he merely inspecting your hymen? if hymen can be torn through vigourous sports, what can of sports are we talking about? is it possible that the first time you had sexual intercourse, no blood resulted?
I dont care if a girl is a virgin or not but if she was a rape victim i'll think twice before choosing her.Originally posted by Moonstriker:does rape count as willingly let the rapist enjoy her?
And no... rape incident didn't ruin our r/s cos i love her for who and what she is... not what has happened to her in the past.![]()
juz what i thoughtOriginally posted by FireIce:if u are a virgin, u have the right to request for a virgin
if u are not, then u dun have the right to request for a virgin
but then, is it that important?
Just for argument's sake.. just considering a scenario and not meaning to offend you or anyone.. So apologies in advance..Originally posted by AzRaeL:I dont care if a girl is a virgin or not but if she was a rape victim i'll think twice before choosing her.
her past sexual abuse and trauma may cause her to be frigid and have flashbacks while having sex.
yes it isn't her fault, but her view on sex would be very different.
often rape victims withdraw into themselves and start to see sex as a bad thing.
that is a NO NO

u c, nowadays the gals r fU...cKing around whenever a guy show some love....ended up breaking up becuz some guys can't mit the expectation of the gals, or maybe the guy left becuz gal no good.... so it means the 1st time is actually not entitled to dem....becuz dey r not their hubby....so wat does the hubby entitled to when dey have to slog their live to earn that $$ to marry a gal? where he have to book tables at hotel restuarants....book makeup artist....phototaking sessions....buy flats....these and dat...not easy to do all these w/o $$. is it fair to the status of hubby?? or the guy who got the 1st time must be smiling away where he dun have to slog for all these things....??
she's put her past behind already. And i do not pressure her into doing anything that she is uncomfy with. So yea... relationship is abt love... not lust.Originally posted by AzRaeL:I dont care if a girl is a virgin or not but if she was a rape victim i'll think twice before choosing her.

dun understand .... you mean you measure a girl's lifetime commitment to you with her virginity and how hard you are gonna work pay for the wedding just to achieve her virginity??seriously dun think that virginity has anything to do with a wedding... how do you measure ?? then what about guys who are non virgin ?? just coz the guy pay for the wedding it's not a must for him to be a virgin ?? now I'm confuse, is virginity measured by money or suppose to be presented as a wedding gift from the wife to her husband ?Originally posted by lurve:wat mr jaws said might be his own thinking.....

haven't you heard that nowaday girls also PAY for the wedding ... it's like MUTUAL savings for their FUTURE ?? HAVEN'T you HEARD ?? I guess it's a matter of how you manage your finances in your relationship.... Welcome to the 20th century and beyond...
PS: A wedding is a lifetime commitment a couple wishes to enter with one another.... you can always just sign the paper... no rules say you MUST hold the banquet, take the photos etc ... those are WANTS not NEEDS .... get that straight.... if you choose to have them all and make it a grand affair, then the couple will have to pay for it .... isn't it fair ?
i don't mind non-virgin but i dislike promiscuity.Originally posted by unwantedgal:do guys still value virginity? would you give up your girlfriend over that? how can you tell if she is still a virgin? can a doctor really see that you are one, or is he merely inspecting your hymen? if hymen can be torn through vigourous sports, what can of sports are we talking about? is it possible that the first time you had sexual intercourse, no blood resulted?
i totally agree wif it... wats done has been done... no pt keep reminding abt the past, when u have the present & more imptly, the future to think of lor... If 2 r true wif each other, dat shldn't be a factor affecting the relationship.... cheers!!Originally posted by Justy:It used to matter alot... when i myself was still a virgin...
Now, i understand that sometimes when you're in love with someone, you tend to give more than you should. And i won't blame her for having done it with someone else before.
Just try not to bring up the topic tho... esp no discussions about what she did with her ex previously! Kaoz... big heart but not THAT big!![]()
what is proper ??? define proper ... what makes you think you are proper ??? How do you measure who is more proper then the other ? BY YOUR DEFINATION ....?Originally posted by lurve:i can see that u r not educated in the proper way...from the way u wrote....anyway.....good luck.
i soooooooooooo agreeOriginally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:I usually avoid bar topics unless they are constructive...
Azreal's simplistic views aside, there needs to be an understanding on the issue of putting virginity in it's correct context. It would be irrational to argue that it does not matter for the truth was, if it was an nonissue, nobody would bother with it.
Being despoilt certainly has its obvious advantages, for a person who does not have a history of sleeping has a far, far lower risk running into problems associated with a havoc lifestyle, as well as some rather abstract concepts of keeping oneself soley for The One.
Anyway, the important thing is that, yes we need to understand that we should not condemn or reject anybody regarding their virginity status, but at the same time we must not disregard the virtues of being sexually pure at the same time, one needs to be clear on the two.
The truth is, if sex was just a physical act with no emotional or spirtual (for those of you who are religious) implications, it would not be taken any more seriously then eating or drinking. Are you sure it's exactly wise to engage in such behaviour outside the vows of marriage? With all those people who have given up their bodies in expectation for the best and then got burned when the relationship dried up, they can tell you it's not the prudent thing is not to do. If we had respect for ourselves, we would not treat our bodies so lightly, unless we have no reason to live that is.
Especially in an age where people regard each other as pieces of meat and have little respect for each other as human beings, it isn't exactly unwise for people of either gender to keep themselves pure until marriage, to avoid getting into all kinds of trouble and being used by people who just want them for their flesh.
whoa! since i am the originator of this rather controversial topic may i please have a little ground rules here. it is perfectly fine to state any arguments even those which no one agrees with (so long as it is not a pervertic statement like that of mr bastardly cortez) but do please leave your reasons behind any judgments made on anyone.Originally posted by lurve:i can see that u r not educated in the proper way...from the way u wrote....anyway.....good luck.

it seems like people here are encouraging pre-marital sex. is that wat we r thought in school?Originally posted by unwantedgal:whoa! since i am the originator of this rather controversial topic may i please have a little ground rules here. it is perfectly fine to state any arguments even those which no one agrees with (so long as it is not a pervertic statement like that of mr bastardly cortez) but do please leave your reasons behind any judgments made on anyone.
for instance, if you do not think that spring has been educated in the proper way, do tell us why you think so and the proper way that you think a girl/guy should be educated. else, no one can give a valid response to your comments and justify their stands. and that isn't fair right???
PS: someone famous said before, i may dislike your arguments but i will defend to my death your right to say them.
