most of u judge a person by their origin, appearance and attire... gosh... u'll be giving the same comments for the topic of "wat u think abt s'pore guys?" I'm a m'sian as well and have been staying here for almost 7 years. Almost 80 of my frens here are s'porean.

They made one of the best frenz in the world coz they dun only tok abt money and wat frenz can do for them (like some s'porean frenz who only come looking for U when they needed ur help and R self-centered.)....they really treasure friendship....I'm proud to have such frenz.

I have a Malaysian friend who used to frequent sgForums. He is very intelligent and has a good command of English. He travels around the world becos of his work and thus is more exposed to the different cultures instead of staying in a frog's well.
He's a nice guy. Eloquent, smart and helpful. One of the good bachelors I see around. Too bad he values his freedom more than anything else.

May i share my 2cents worth of opinion.
Malaysians who study in Singapore are on a budget. That's because most of them are under study loan or ASEAN scholarship and can't afford to go UK, US or Aus to study. Hence sometimes they have to sacrifice on materials comfort, clothes, handphones, food etc. That's why some tend to be very thrifty on their expenses bcos they have to send money back home to support their younger siblings. So next time if you see a uni mate or poly friend who seems to be wearing the same orientation t shirt(as long as they wash) be more understanding.
Good dressing can come later once they graduate and find a job with stable income. [/quote] -

Generally, they are v friendly pple. As to the comments on poor English standard, it's all depend on which schools they're from. Have known some who speak better, fluent English than our Singlish.

P.S. My circle of Msian influence are mainly from Northern Msia. many of them studied and work in SIN while some in KL. Tertiary educated and have promising career. Of course there are the other categories of Msian Bengs who are mostly the blue collar workers in SIN. But generally they are nice pple. -
