INTRO TO NEW COMERS OR VISITORS
We are a bunch of slackers who, even though already have a forum website, still insist to "leech" onto this sgforums. Cos instead of wasting time to do Moderation, the Marchies would rather drive out their favourite ride for kopi session and have a life.
We have thus left the heavy responsibility of Moderating to the expert, Nick 34 here.

hello,
i'm having my hols soon.. would like to join one of the outings to know more about March.
Still thinking if i shld get a car... sigh. I just can't make up my mind coz it's gonna be a big commitment for me. -

hi fellow marchies..! Tedz, Vandalgal, King, Fadedmango, Kamenrider etc and newbies!
been a while since i came by to post messages...glad to see that the pioneer batch is still active and going on strong!
Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to some year-end festive partying...!!
anyway, time flies, my silver marchie is almost a year old! That also means insurance policy and road tax renewal etc......really cough blood mann
been so busy for the last 6 months that I've stopped hand washing my car diligently since many moons ago, no chance for 'regular facials' and spot checks for the car exterior.... Then one fine day, suddenly spotted some minor scratches and a mini dent, on the front portion...god knows how, where and when that happened... Feel so scarred... will go for major plastic surgery action for her next year...
Car's going for 4th servicing this Xmas, hitting the 20k mark...cough out lungs by then...
Xmas's sneaking around the corner, bet there're upcoming Xmas gatherings happenin' for the club! I just hope I can really make it on whatever the weekend that is set...as long as no clashes with work.... Missed so much of the action this year..

sigh... my car has about 23 little small dents all over the car..... if ur dents r fewer than mine, u can go to the shops that can remove dents.......... -

I hope you guys had a good long holiday, cos i did!
was in malaysia for a week. took the opportunity to chiong the highways when alone, very shiok. once i even knocked a bird while it was taking off, i went OMG!!
the burong kuku was in the middle of the highway although it saw me coming, think it overestimated its capability to be able to take off on time before me. unfortunately i was faster. after knocking it, i looked back from the rear view mirror and i saw it struggled in mid air and fell on the ground, everywhere was flying feathers. there were some blood on my car front, quite scary sight.
on another day, my car battery died on me.
after stopping for petrol at a kiosk, i couldnt start my March again. the engine ignition did not sound like typical weak battery like "cough...cough...cough..." but rather sounded like machine gun rattling, the internal lights and dials went flashing.
at first i thought it was electronic malfunctioning, it definitely did not sound like a typical engine ignition from weak battery.
while still puzzling, this nice indian man came for my help, he said just get a piece of metal to rub on the battery connector. i thought it sounded more like voodoo...
of course it didnt help.
luckily there was this battery and tyre shop behind the petrol kiosk. they changed the battery to maintenance free type and voila, my March came alive again!
they advised that modern cars esp our types are very sensitive to voltage stability and usually we cant see any symptoms prior to failure.
so, the original one (Panasonic brand) lasted me about slightly above 1 year only.
the maintenance free battery (dunno what brand) costed about S$80, thought it looked quite solid. -
saw this fierce Blue IMPUL kitted March in JB during holiday there.
when the auntie (!) came out, she was bringing along a kid with the fever pad on his head walking to a clinic. guess they were preoccupied with the kid's fever so i passed them the summon and left.
wonder if it would be cheaper to fit the IMPUL kit in JB? the more i look at it the nicer it gets... -
