The reason why I was so interested in this case was because I tested the new Mazda 5 (MPV) just 3 weeks ago. And the SE who attended to me was a young lady. Lucky its not her.....but still unlucky that someone else lost her life.

I'm not an Expert in Car accidents but the MX-5 is a Front Engine and Rear Wheel drive car which is lightweight compared to other cars. Tendency is that the people who could afford such cars are not the chicks but an Uncle.
Speeding kills . So drivers should take responsibility to take public roads seriously. There isn't any pedestrains in this freaked accident involved thank goodness.
Headon collision = car number 1 + car number 2 speeds x impact. Heavier/ thicker /slower car wins. Lighter car flips or spins or split opens. -

I think that motherson did more than just speeding. He was weaving in and out of the traffic like james bond. You ppl should know, even if your speed is damn fast, if the angle of your wheels and the curb is not steep enough, the wheel will only adjust itself to the front direction. To mount curb, that means that the angle which the wheels meet the curb is MORE than a certain critical angle.
If you still remb secondary physics, in refraction, if the light strikes a glass block at less than a critical angle, it will get reflected back and will not pass through the glass. A common example is that you can see reflections of images across a lake or pond, but if you look vertically down into the water, you see into the water. Same principle here.
So that motherson want to impress the gal, did all the weavings to show his "skills" and he didn't judge accurate enough. Either that, or he was really speeding and fail to turn soon enough at a sharp bend. So he mounted the curb and bang into the beemer. Not forgetting the beemer also is moving, say 50km/h. Even if the mazda wasn't speeding at 50km/h, the combined speed is 100km/h. Thats why the mazda flip. THe beemer being heavier, wins. -

I forgot to add that the SE has been calling me regularly since I test-drove the car, to pester me to buy. sometimes it is just the time for you to go. When i was studying in jc, got these 2 gals walking to school on pedestrian path. THen another motherson was not only sleeping in his car, he was also speeding. He hit the curb at lane 1 of dunern road, lost control and went striaight for the two gals. Both died. Walking on pedestrian path also can knock dead by a car. It really is fate. Yet, it is very sad whenever such things happen.

Haha got it..The driver must have been playing NFS using the mx to drift....
Apparently he have not been practicing.....
