You know the car business is so shady. Different day, different SE, different branch, different price, different freebies.
I just called today the Ubi branch. First quote is $47.8k. Then I said I heard it can be cheaper. Immediately, ok $46.8k can. Then I ask for further discount. She asks whether I own a Nissan because got $500 discount if buying another Nissan. I said No, then she said is ok, can still give $500 discount. Then I push some more. She say ok, lowest is $46k. So I told her I will think about it.
This is just crazy. If the price is $46k, then why quote $47.8k? So inexperienced and uninformed car buyers will pay $47.8k or even higher? People who know and push pay $46k or less? This is even before asking for free stuff.
From the postings here, it seems some buyers didn't get any freebies. The SE commissions can easily absorb the basic things like reverse sensors, windows tinting etc.
It's too bad that car prices, even from dealers, are not standardized. This only leads people to never really know whether they got the best deal.

You should try to get your SE to install and you pay for it. It's about $100. This avoids Nissan from voiding your warranty later because some outside contractor messed up your wirings. Nissan sells the Ultramax film. The specs look decent but the best part is the price = $270 nett. VKool and Huper Optik can run up to $1000 depending on package. Since the Comfort version has no in-seat airbags, it should be no problem refurbishing them. I'm getting mine in early Nov, and plan to use them until cannot tahan, then maybe install leather seats (should be about $1k). I'm having the steering wheel wrapped in matching blue leather with cream stitching (SE paying for it). -
Pls do understand SE also need to earn money for a living, their basic pay in TCM is fromm $300 to $ 600 depend on ur education, the higher the price they sell the better comm they have, if all SE give all his/her margine to u ,must well he/she stay at home to sleep! if they can they can sell u $46k, i can confirm that u unable to get any freebies at all.and u must take 100% loan.Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:You know the car business is so shady. Dun blame the SE, S'POREAN like to bargain. When we bargain off a few thousand from the price we feel we get a good deal. if SE dun give u any discount or freebies buyers will think the SE is not sincere, we feel we bought something expensive! So is very difficult to standrd the price. Some SE will give all his/her margin if they need to hit their target.
Seller always hope to sell higher to make more profit and we buyer always like to buy cheaper. This is a human nature! So most important is SE must treat u well and give u good service, no point buying something cheap but SE give u lousy service which cause lot of unhappiness and touble right?
So guys out there if really want to buy any new nissan march or any car,u guys can contact me, it might not be very cheap but at least i got confident that able to get a reasonable price and freebies for u! i got good relationship with them. Becos everyday my job scope need to deal with new car agent.

how much you pay for the alarm? Does it tiein with your original Nissan key? For my side was different as my car was a PI and it was not frm Tan chong and the origal alarm died after 3 yrs as i guess warrenty is far over by then. i still have me original key that has the nissan alarum but now i change to viper...........was abt $150Originally posted by nanomarch:how much you pay for the alarm? Woman killed in accident along Upper Paya Lebar Road

SINGAPORE : A woman in her early 20s died when the car she was in collided with another car and a van on Saturday.
She was travelling along Upper Paya Lebar Road towards Bartley Road around 5.55pm when it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle.
It skidded to the other side of the road and hit two oncoming vehicles.
The woman suffered serious neck injuries and was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where she died an hour later.
The driver, in his mid 20s, has been arrested and is assisting investigation.
Four passengers in the other car sustained minor injuries and were treated at Changi General Hospital -
Actually during the accident , one of the victim is my customer and family who is driving a BMW 320IA. He say lucky is was driving a BMW if not i think he gone to the heaven. During that day it happen i still met him , after i met him he kena the accident! I wonder what happened to the guy that killed the SE during his test drive accident. It was a Mazda MX-5 and the SE was in her early 20s, just joined Mazda only a few months. Drink Driving = Up to $5000 Fine And, or jail Term + License Suspended +
Court. For first offence.
2nd time offence = Jail term + Fine + Court.
Making an illegal U Turn when there's no U Turn sign =$70.
Fail to Signal when changing lanes = $70.
Driving at night without headlights or taillights switch on after 7pm =$30.
No Number Plate = $70.
Obstructed Number Plate = $70.
Obscured Number Plate = $70.
Number Plate Of Unapproved Type = $70.
As for Demerit Point system:
Let's say you have 0 points on 1st January 2005, and you committed The
offence of Failing to Put on Seat Belt. So now, you will have 3
demerit points and this will last for 1 Year. If during this 1 year you
have no demerit points offence at all, your 3 demerit points will be
gone on 1/1/2006.
But, if during this one year, From 1/1/2005 - 1/1/2006, you committed
Another offence with demerit points, your very first offence will be
extended for another year until 1/1/2007.

The style nannies at Nissan have worked their magic to spruce up this already adorable car

Look at the March and the car seems to stare back at you through its big glassy 'eyes'.
Among other minor changes effected during this mild update is a new palette of colours including Ice Blue, which is a lush, soft hue that reminds one of Smurfs.
Viewed head-on, the new bumpers exaggerate the March's width.
The ruddy cheeks look even more pinchable now. The distinctive double bubble silhouette still looks like a cross between a classic Volkswagen Beetle and a fluffy cloud.
Matching the car's Ice Blue exterior, the designers quite literally 'blue' up the cabin.
Everything inside - from the part fabric, part suede upholstery to the dashboard to even the wiper stalks - is coloured like blueberry-flavoured cotton candy, if ever there was one.
Depending on the exterior colour, there is a beige-on-beige option for more conservative customers.
In this 1.4E trim, the car is very well equipped, almost exceedingly so.
Gizmos like powered folding mirrors, auto headlights, 15-inch alloy wheels, smart key and digital climate control with integrated air ioniser don't distract from the fact that this is essentially a really cool shopping trolley for four, with a rather tiny boot.
Except that shopping trolleys don't tool around with nearly as much verve as the March. It leaps off the line effortlessly like a bunny in heat.
The electric power steering feels like it's filled with helium but the turn-in is incisive, followed with good progression as the front-end starts to run out of grip.
Its relatively generous wheelbase and soft suspension gives the car a cushy ride but manages to suppress almost all body roll and any mid-corner bobbing.
Despite its camp (and some even say, frivolous) looks, this car drives well, better than the Honda Jazz and matching the Suzuki Swift.
The March 1.4E is not cheap though. For the money, you could bag a Nissan Sunny with cash to spare. But, then, you can't cuddle a Sunny to sleep.

Hi I was told by my Se that I will be getting the Cat A ($10500) COE but I told him can I get the open Cat COE bcos the current open cat is about $12K plus...So which one is better? Jus for info only...
Is the COE price drop further so is it be good that we get the car later? -
