Wah... 5k only... I dun think I drive that much. It's probably the fetching of girlfriend and mommy that take up the most.Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:I think these 2 are the most common. You must drive a lot. I think we got our cars about the same time (Oct06) but mine just reached 5000km.![]()
10k should be fine..... unless you might be so particular w 'performance', perhaps you would do every5kOriginally posted by Si Geena:I've also picked up the price list for TC's packages. Interestingly, their packages are in stages of 20k, rather than 10k. Is it common/ better to service, and change oil every 10k or 20k?
Wooww man i think am abit abnormal, i took over the car, for 7 months , previous mileage from the first owner is 26,000km now mine is 60,000km within 7 months. i have service my car 3 times with Tan chong liao!Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:I think these 2 are the most common. You must spend a lot of time in your car. Drive much to Malaysia? You are driving at 3 times the average distance. Most cars do 20k a year, you are about 60k annually!Originally posted by bbryan:Wooww man i think am abit abnormal, i took over the car, for 7 months , previous mileage from the first owner is 26,000km now mine is 60,000km within 7 months. i have service my car 3 times with Tan chong liao!
Are you referring to the Nissan Preventive Maintenance Packages? They look like decent deals because they also include parts, and the regular servicing packages don't. The NPMP is for 10k intervals, not 20k that you mention. But we have to buy 4 servicing in a package, which should last 2 years.Originally posted by Si Geena:Wah... 5k only... Actually, you got the ride 1 month ahead of me. But on the flip side, this is my first car, so I'm still in the drive-happy stage.

Thank you.
A car alarm is one of the least effective theft deterrent strategy, especially in Malaysia. People there are getting robbed and assaulted in broad daylight and passers-by are afraid to intervene and help. So the car alarm is not going to bother them much.Originally posted by chewbacca80:wahhh why not? i tot ppl break into any tom dick harry car

Gd morning.Originally posted by dreamingaboutmarch:Hi everyone
I am DreamingaboutMarch who is dreaming about a March. Am considering purchasing this car and am jsut wondering if this car really gets 14 km/l, and on average how much does one can plan to set aside for petrol once a month for a March if let's say the distance travelled a month is about 1200km? Is this considered a lot of driving around?
This will be my first car. So questions are prob not so high-tech (yet). Kinda worried about high fuel consumption.
Any pointers will be useful.

Hello! First thing you have to do is to report the colour of your March.Originally posted by kaixin_85:Hi,
I am new here. Juz brought my March Car in April 2007. Hope to know more March drivers.![]()
thanks! it's crystal clear! $200-$250 seems like a lot of driving to me. u must enjoy it very much!Originally posted by Si Geena:Gd morning.
If by per tank calc, I've got 14.1 and 14.0 km/l before. However, it is more consistent with my driving habits and routine to get 11-12km/l. I do alot of city driving.
Since you cite 1200km per mth, you divide that with 14, you'll get your fuel consumption, which is 85.7 litres. Esso 95 costs abt $1.60 per litre. So you'll probably have $137.12 as your expected petrol costs. Clear so far?
I tend to drive about $200-$250 worth per month. So I'll say your distance is not that alot. But it really depends on your routine. I've got girlfriend and my mommy to factor in.
By and large, even if you use 12km/l per month, it's not that much more on the pocket since you're not driving that much, (based on 1200km).
