After the nails event, Tan Chong doesn't seem to be organizing any more events for Marchie drivers. Looks like we are a forgotten bunch.
One thing they can organize is a Best Dressed March event, with simple prizes like a bodycare package from TC (clean/polish). Then we can see all the nice dressed up Marchies in town!

hi peeps
what is the tyre pressure for March ah? and how often should we check it. after about 2 months plus, i still haven't check it.
my FC hovers around 12km/l. turn off AC somemore on days that are not so hot. i generally travel about 1600 km a month and gas bill is like about $200-240. am trying to get better milege out of it. any recommendations?
i wish march got tachometre but don't have. any place i can install it? how much should it cost ah?

Tyre pressure numbers are usually pasted on the driver's side doorsill in most cars. Can't remember off the top of my head.
Front and back tyres require different pressure because the front is heavier due to the engine being there. I usually put in slightly higher (about 5psi), to get better FC, power, and less roll while cornering, but note that this can cause slightly uneven tyre wear and bumpier ride. Try different pressures to see what you like, but don't go beyond +/- 10psi. -

Get the digital Blitz meter. R-vit.
It will show the tachometer and other infor.
Cost below $600. -

My last FC is just over 13km/l. Still trying to push it higher but I'm about 80% rush-hour city traffic, so not easy...

11.5 is unusually low. 13 is about average. I'm quite a hard driver myself, but I try to do a few things, like minimize brake use by checking traffic conditions far ahead and speed up from traffic lights gradually. I don't think there is any device or gadget that can materially improve FC, except driving style. -

But it will look unbalanced with just one meter.
So I strongly suggest getting the digital display R-vit. Can paste it below your IU. It will look nicer as well. -

My gf is quite different. She likes to zoom hard and brake hard. Probably to do with her heels...
But overall, we still hit 13 typically. She drives about 35% of the time. -
hi, i am driving the latest nissan march model. anyone has fitted with a pair of fog lights onto the new K12? heard we have to modify the current plastics cover? if you have, pls share which shop we can approach + the total cost. thnx

hm, speed up from traffic light is a good suggestion. will do that. i also use a lot of brakes cos so many traffic lights. esp when the travelling speed is 80 and so many traffic lights ahead.
i think a single circular tachometer will do. do i have to remove it before servicing by tanchong? will it void warranty if i don't? -

Some JDM cars have a Tachometer right next to the Speedometer, i.e. having 2 meters side by side just like most cars. I saw it surfing on the Internet. I've also seen combo meters which just plug into the cigarette lighter. Apparently it gets all the signal/data it needs from the cigarette lighter plug. I didn't believe it at first but I tested the car and it worked! Heard it's a few hundred dollars though... -
Just did my 10k servicing at TC and opted for Synthetic Oil. I love the engine performance right after getting fresh synthetic oil! It just purrs along and I could swear there is more power as the pistons are moving with less friction.
TC charged me $64 as the top up. They used Shogun 0W-30 instead of Fastflo oil. When I asked about this, the Service Advisor said that Shogun is better (they got customer feedback that Fastflo makes the engine sluggish), but is about $20 more expensive. 0W-30 is very light and thin oil.
What has been your experience? What oil do you use?

Do not how you guys make it to 13km/l. I am also hitting the most 11.5km/l.
BTW, I have bought Shell Helix Ultra (5W-40) for my Car. Hoping to use it for my 10,000kim services. Is it ok to use that for our car? Seems to be the best of all Shell Synthetic oil.
