hi, a long while back ago, we has a few good outings but many of the seniors or 1st batch have sold off the cars as its coimng to 5yrs............we should do a meetup in kallang.........right amarch / shiokmc etc....................Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:After the nails event, Tan Chong doesn't seem to be organizing any more events for Marchie drivers. Looks like we are a forgotten bunch.
One thing they can organize is a Best Dressed March event, with simple prizes like a bodycare package from TC (clean/polish). Then we can see all the nice dressed up Marchies in town!![]()

thanks!Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:Tyre pressure numbers are usually pasted on the driver's side doorsill in most cars. Can't remember off the top of my head.
Front and back tyres require different pressure because the front is heavier due to the engine being there. I usually put in slightly higher (about 5kpa), to get better FC, power, and less roll while cornering, but note that this can cause slightly uneven tyre wear and bumpier ride. Try different pressures to see what you like, but don't go beyond +/- 10kpa.![]()
Should try to top up tyre pressure when the tyres are cold, as that's how the factory recommended numbers are measured. That's one reason why I add in 5psi to the recommended numbers as it's inconvenient to always top-up when cold.Originally posted by dreamingaboutmarch:thanks!
n must do it when cold right? but it seems almost impossibe since we always hot.
wats ur fc?
Just curious. What's the March resale body value like? Is it mostly exported or local resale?Originally posted by vandagal2002:hi, a long while back ago, we has a few good outings but many of the seniors or 1st batch have sold off the cars as its coimng to 5yrs............we should do a meetup in kallang.........right amarch / shiokmc etc....................![]()

wow! 13! how did u do that? how can i improve my FC? don't cry ah. i am 11.5. i shd be the one crying!Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:Should try to top up tyre pressure when the tyres are cold, as that's how the factory recommended numbers are measured. My last FC is just over 13km/l. Still trying to push it higher but I'm about 80% rush-hour city traffic, so not easy...![]()
is there one that just reads only RPM? how much wd it be?Originally posted by kiss29:Get the digital Blitz meter. R-vit.
It will show the tachometer and other infor.
Cost below $600.
11.5 is unusually low. 13 is about average. I'm quite a hard driver myself, but I try to do a few things, like minimize brake use by checking traffic conditions far ahead and speed up from traffic lights gradually. Optimal speed is about 80km/h for FC.Originally posted by dreamingaboutmarch:wow! 13! how did u do that? how can i improve my FC? don't cry ah. i am 11.5. i shd be the one crying!somemore i hardly use AC wan lei. now i really feel like crying
You can always get a circular RPM meter on your dashboard ~$100++Originally posted by dreamingaboutmarch:is there one that just reads only RPM? how much wd it be?

I don't think there is any device or gadget that can materially improve FC, except driving style.![]()
i do a lot of stop-starts city driving. highway driving prob about 10% only. or even less. perhaps that's why? my friend's getting 10+ only.Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:11.5 is unusually low. 13 is about average. Does anyone here knows of a workshop that have installed a tacho in a march b4? I just cannot find one tat knows how to do itOriginally posted by dreamingaboutmarch:i do a lot of stop-starts city driving. highway driving prob about 10% only. or even less. perhaps that's why? my friend's getting 10+ only.
hm, speed up from traffic light is a good suggestion. will do that. i also use a lot of brakes cos so many traffic lights. esp when the travelling speed is 80 and so many traffic lights ahead.
i think a single circular tachometer will do. do i have to remove it before servicing by tanchong? will it void warranty if i don't?
Some JDM cars have a Tachometer right next to the Speedometer, i.e. having 2 meters side by side just like most cars. I saw it surfing on the Internet. Hence there must be a signal coming in from the engine bay for the Tacho.Originally posted by blurrr:Does anyone here knows of a workshop that have installed a tacho in a march b4?
