Does TC accept outside oil when they service your car? The 10k service is free from TC so why do it elsewhere. And the March needs 3.2liters.Originally posted by gpang77:Do not how you guys make it to 13km/l. I am also hitting the most 11.5km/l.
BTW, I have bought Shell Helix Ultra (5W-40) for my Car. Hoping to use it for my 10,000kim services. Is it ok to use that for our car? Seems to be the best of all Shell Synthetic oil.
they do accept outside oil but will ask you to sign a form saying that anything wrong with the oil, you have to bear the responsibility.Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:Does TC accept outside oil when they service your car? which means void warrantyOriginally posted by zonkkie:they do accept outside oil but will ask you to sign a form saying that anything wrong with the oil, you have to bear the responsibility.
Gee, that's means to say it is better to use their oil.Originally posted by NYLEVE:which means void warrantyThat sounds like saying if there is anything which gone wrong with the engine, they are not responsible as the engine oil is supplied by you.
I will go to TC to service my car. However, throught of using my own engine oil, like some of our forefather did (to save money).Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:Does TC accept outside oil when they service your car? What did Autosaver charge for 20k service? Just got a call back from TC, and was informed that 20k service is $250 if we bring our own oil (if add their oil, add $80). My experience is that TC is quite flexible about appointments. I went to Ubi at 8am last Friday without appointment, and the car was ready by 945am.Originally posted by Si Geena:Coming out of leftfield... I just did my 20k servicing at Autosaver, rather then head back to TC.
Factors that influenced my decision
1. Cost, saved more than $100
2. Time, was able to get my ride for servicing immediately, did not require prior appt.
3. Compatibility, Autosaver uses genuine Nissan parts, that's their branding. So there's not much risk there.
The really big factor that influenced me was the cost. Overall, I was quite pleased with their standard of work.
20k was 195. With GST, it came up to 208.65. With Syn oil.Originally posted by Shooting_Cloud:What did Autosaver charge for 20k service?
