practice on a racetrack with a skyline? u know just because a racetrack is a safer place to drive fast, doesn't mean your car won't get damaged.Originally posted by olala:i aint ging racing anytime soon
b4 racing,i believe there a need to praticse in racetrack
so u wuld b finding me stalking the highway
mayb chipping in20k or so.depending on my work and attitude towards a gt car
maintence and other after car purchase,i'll have to handle my self

its second handOriginally posted by HENG@:practice on a racetrack with a skyline? u know just because a racetrack is a safer place to drive fast, doesn't mean your car won't get damaged.
I think u need to rethink just HOW u should practice and up yr skill levels.
and i don't think 50K is enuf to get u a R34 skyline. certainly not one in a gd condition.
actually, to be frank? my opinion is that u just have a young boy's fantasy for owning a fast car at a young age. its understandable, but u have to consider reality.Originally posted by olala:have a liking since i ever known the car
not tto mention its capabilties lyk able to space out equal traction to all wheels
its also pretty cheap
of course hidden wun b cheap
inshort juz a liking

did i say anything about drifting?Originally posted by olala:o...dun need drift lo..

believe in determinationOriginally posted by HENG@:actually, to be frank? my opinion is that u just have a young boy's fantasy for owning a fast car at a young age. its understandable, but u have to consider reality.
there are lots of things u dun know now, that u'll realise when u ACTUALLY drive fast cars. im saying this as someone who's actually driven a Ferrari b4.
anyways a car can have a fantastic capability, but its your basic instincts that counts most in yr ability to exploit them. u won't get a quick start by practicing with a skyline right off the mark, i'll tell u that.

u talked a bit about how the skyline has a smart torque distribution system etc. i hope u realise that even a 3 yr COE skyline for 50k, is not going to be the 4WD GTR. only the 4WD GTR has that torque distribution thingy on it. U're likely getting the RWD GTT, and well.... powerful RWD car with a untrained driver... not a good scenario.Originally posted by olala:its second hand
and bcuz its a 3yr coe left
for 10 yr coe it b alot pricer
determination alone does not make up for inefficient or incorrect ways to learn racing techniques.Originally posted by olala:believe in determination

still can take time
after liscense den get car
wat ineficeient tech?
anything will start form ineffiecient

different machinery u choose to hone your skills in, can make a difference in how fast u progress.
you think wat INITIAL D is it . Drift around the corner at 150km/h siao . drifting is not that easy as you think , even Japan D1 driver also have trouble drifting at this speed .Originally posted by olala:how ya gonna tame it?
given ur appoarching it at 150km/hr
hw ya gonna tackle the U bend?
B4 the 2.sec or so b4 apporaching,i'll drop to 3rd gear
and b4 the actual turning,i wuld have turn the car so that it'll tumble down the clift, earlier turning allows the car to drift wifout falling..
hafway in the curve, applyy brakes and give the wheel a full jerk[twice]
this wuld prevent the front from seering out too much to avoid crashing or tumbling down hill
after that, apply more throttle and step on gas
juz wat i wuld odp if given a chance, what wuld u guys do?
share?
note i mentioned approaching and then dropping down to gear 3Originally posted by kai1989:you think wat INITIAL D is it . Drift around the corner at 150km/h siao . drifting is not that easy as you think , even Japan D1 driver also have trouble drifting at this speed .
what make you think you can pull it through safely without crashing.
you think you are the next drift king in singapore
banked corner?Originally posted by HENG@:a good example of a positive camber (opposite of a off camber), the Karussel corner of the old 'Ring:
I personally do lyk racing, but lyk i mentioned in the other topic1. Let me make this clear. You are being a nuisance by posting such rubbish about drifting on public roads and so on. You have disrespected the community of people here who have respect for the rest of the public community. By doing so, you have asked to be layeth with the smacketh down.
i wuldnt race on the public road
cuz if i buang there,i dun expect ppl to feel sorry
thats shld b the pride of a racer isnt it?
and of course,if one wanna race, its betetr to take themselve to racetrack and places
lyk lck cem, soth boba vista, albert's park or old upp thomsom road
and now, what my topic is,is about approach to drifitng at the d's bend
ok,so what is kron is unhappy wif me?
what's then is then
a new topic, new view and comments
U can argue fiercely, but that can onli b pardona if its in relation to the present topic,
and not some unhappyness stem from previous
If ur gonna flame juz for the sake of flaming, den i wonder how many ppl b fighting physically
in international debates
com on la,the nature of this topic was a friendly and casual chit chat
but of course anything friendly culd deem unhappiness to some 'kind' of ppl
lets juz say that i'm sone who can sperate emotion from logic3. Not just emotion from logic. You can separate yourself from your own words too. That is truly impressive. Don't you dare try to run away from the sh1t you have just tried to stir in this thread as well by you poor attempt at trying to generate interest in drifting on public roads.
i wun flame someone for the sake of doing it bcuz he has flame me in other topic mayb not are able to do so lyk me
have a liking since i ever known the car4. You DON'T KNOW the car. So don't lie again. You not even qualified to register for a licence. Unless of course you can show us that daddy dearest has bought you a GTR and you have been practising on a track, please refrain
not tto mention its capabilties lyk able to space out equal traction to all wheels
its also pretty cheap
of course hidden wun b cheap
inshort juz a liking
gto and mr2 are good too
i aint ging racing anytime soon6. If I ever find you stalking the highway, for whatever reasons you are thinking of, you'd better be in possession of a valid licence and insurance. Or a big can of NOS and your passport.
b4 racing,i believe there a need to praticse in racetrack
so u wuld b finding me stalking the highway
i dun think sg got ppl race wif lambo or ferrari?7. Don't say "think so" again, cause you aren't even thinking at all. Heard of "Hong Seh Motors Track Day"? Don't know what Hong Seh is? Maybe yellowpages can help you.
other counteries yes
sg dun think so
but wisdom will have unlock the right technique and determination keeps the stamina8. Insolence and stupidity will keep out the wrong people right way.
note i mentioned approaching and then dropping down to gear 39. Sorry to dash your hopes so quickly again. In gear 3, a car can even hit 180kmh. Maybe you can tell us what car you were dreaming of and we can go drive it, legally, and let you know if 3rd gear is suitable. Wouldn't want to find out for ourselves with you driving us round the bend, would we?
read properly b4 u shoot u arse
