good moveOriginally posted by tiggersgd:actually the back kind of....like the mercs C coupe (however minor)?
this is just the basic model...w/o mods. imo, its already a looker from the front.included the pics so that the heat can be reduced n get back to topic proper.
it cleans out the underbody airflow a bit, which probably helps with fuel consumption.Originally posted by tiggersgd:can any1 talked abt the design (esp the back) of the UK civic? seems like current trend is going into "integrated" (into the bumper) with twin exhaust?
any fair comments will do.
everybody was talking abt the traiangular exhaust b4 it came out...Originally posted by tiggersgd:can any1 talked abt the design (esp the back) of the UK civic? seems like current trend is going into "integrated" (into the bumper) with twin exhaust?

wif regards to FC...the singapore model (1.8 n not talking abt the 2.0) seems to be on the higher side...Originally posted by HENG@:it cleans out the underbody airflow a bit, which probably helps with fuel consumption.
actually this design is incorporated to models like RX8, Mark X n others...maybe its a japanese thingy? i mean in terms of design wise....for exhaust flow, i wonder if it does help overall...and how much since its not a race "horse" per se?Originally posted by n0x:everybody was talking abt the traiangular exhaust b4 it came out...
well integrated is not bad.. at least not hide it like toyota does to my altis![]()
well the singapore model is probably a more slapdash jobOriginally posted by tiggersgd:wif regards to FC...the singapore model (1.8 n not talking abt the 2.0) seems to be on the higher side...
anyway, i dun get to see any hybrids in the European scene so far...is it bcos of technology being more expensive to build etc?
uk get all the good stuff la.. and all the high tech mumbo jumbo.. theirs have push start button whereas we are still getting turning keys.. although i dun see the need for a push start button.. juz tt its way coolerOriginally posted by tiggersgd:actually this design is incorporated to models like RX8, Mark X n others...maybe its a japanese thingy? i mean in terms of design wise....for exhaust flow, i wonder its it does help overall...and how much since its not a race "horse" per se?

hmm high side ah? well, someone WAS saying its got the FC of a 1.5 and the power of a 2.0. But thats mutually exclusive isn't it?U step more petrol, u get the power of a 2.0, but FC also of a 2.0. That explains the FC being on the high side

U drive slow slow, like a 1.5, then the Vtec not engaged, of course FC also like 1.5
As for the hybrids, what do u mean? honda only, or all brands?
just need to clarify ma. u dun say, i wun know.Originally posted by tiggersgd:u must rub it in huh?
anyway, i'm referring to the honda brands only...i know toyota, mercs n many others are already toying wif it long enuff...bcos this is the civic thread...so let's just stick to the hondas for now, cool?
as for the FC of 1.5 and power of a 2.0....i've heard this "talk" b4 the new civic in singapore was launched...still i dun buy that sayingnot esp wif the ever increasing petrol prices.
dun think u'll buy a honda "green" car thoughOriginally posted by HENG@:just need to clarify ma. u dun say, i wun know.
hmmmm dunno. why honda not pushing the hybrid in uk, this u have to ask honda itself. esp since europe is being very receptive towards "green" cars now.
would i even buy a green car?Originally posted by tiggersgd:dun think u'll buy a honda "green" car though
so, if u r to buy...what will it be?
i think in order for this to be parallel imported...u have to look at COE, OMV, road tax and most important (from LTA standpoint) emission standards, horses etc.Originally posted by ceecookie:i wonder if the UK spec civic will land on our shores
its as good as not asking u the question at all...next!Originally posted by HENG@:would i even buy a green car?
If its the venturi fetish, i sure don't mind![]()
so ultimately, it doesn't pay for u guys to dislike contis the way u do. let the japs gain total control of your market and then they dictate what sort of cars u get, instead of the consumer dictating the marketOriginally posted by tiggersgd:i do like the push button start! chao cool! wahahaha...
UK gets all the gd stuff?? maybe not...they're getting the so-call gd stuff is bcos of competition in that particular region...esp if u want to compete with their local giants like VW, Ford, Mercs, BMW, Audi (perhaps) and most of the conti brands.
jap. imports like hondas have to perform even more (be it in terms of specs or looks) just to be on-par with the giants. then again...there're supporters of jap imports.so it may only means that the market forces determine what car (in terms of design, specs, emission standards n so on) gets to be launched.
other than PI...is kah motor considering to bring it in as another model of it?Originally posted by tiggersgd:i think in order for this to be parallel imported...u have to look at COE, OMV, road tax and most important (from LTA standpoint) emission standards, horses etc.
hey the Venturi Fetish is a green car can? Electric powered.Originally posted by tiggersgd:its as good as not asking u the question at all...next!![]()
