You know that chai poh omelette? Well, for ALL the times that I've cooked it, it turn out to be a disaster. I think the chai poh bits here are quite big. Looks like the next time, I may need to grind it down. Anyways, I always ended up having to throw it out, after lunch.![]()
Orh, I see. Okay, so that's what it is. Yeap, I think I did press on the egg. And like you said, it came out......erm.........hard and yukky!Originally posted by the Bear:put the stuff in an electric chopper in your food processor
mostly, remember not to press the egg while it's on the wok coz you'll press out the air in the omelette.. making it hard and the texture is kinda yukky...

A bit oily must be a gross understatement.Originally posted by littlestream:I don't think I've had it before, particularly you mentioned it's a bit oily? So, I am not sure what veggie that is. But coming out from you? I'm sure it's good.
Yikes.......looks like I need to use paper towel to soak up the oil then eh? I was at the supermarket earlier and tried hard looking for it, trying to figure out the Chinese characters. But boh ley. Don't have ley.Originally posted by Wanda:A bit oily must be a gross understatement.
After scooping it out, I have to use the spoon to *press, press, press* out the oil first before eating. The one I have tastes sweet....probably has quite a bit of sugar in it. Is it supposed to taste like that?
manichye? i tink he means many chais...Originally posted by the Bear:what's a goodas manichye?
when buying china canned food must be careful. there are alot of look alike brand. Best is to go for those cans that are printed (not paper label) and comes with easy open ends. (ring pull type)Originally posted by dragg:i like the muichai duck canned food.
