Our ex CDF, LG Lim Chuan Poh was a keen athelete and was known abt his peers as a leader who work well with his surbodinates and peers. The reason why there are quite a number of SAFOS winners is to ensure a steady stream of capable leaders in the SAF, no doubt some scholar might be brainy, but no EQ, so i do belive your brother Teh might have run into some pretty black horse.

anyway i cant help you with your question - i have not met white horses (btw, there arent many of them). neither have i met many scholars. but i urge you to keep an open-mind, cos you sound like you have already formed strong impressions of these groups of people. do keep a look-out for sources of information other than your brother and friends. if one is unhappy with the system, chances are his views of it won't be very objective. and it is always good to confirm information through multiple sources, and good sources at that, rather than rely solely on anecdotal evidences. -

I heard of the army doing all the ISO certification which on paper is good for the army. But look at the dunking incident. Shouldn't an exercise that concerns life and death be properly monitored?? I partially aree with what u said....Now the main problem is wif Singaporeans too..IM they do not know how to plan their money..Most Singaporeans want to be flashy owning cars,ex handphones saturdays wan to go cheong at pubs..Now my question to us is , are these things really necessary?...Think about those people in third world countries who cant even afford basic necessities.....Is true that u can enjoy these things at a cheaper cost in other countries cos they have natural resources to make up for it..Singapore has none..The only way to drive this country financially is through the things u buy, hence the high cost of products..if u are not happy about it, then rather keep your money and spend it wisely than get cut throat by others.......but look those countries...issues like terrorism, racism are widespread..do u want to live in a very rich country like in middle east but live every single day of your life in fear and paranoia?..try seeing from the ordinary man's point of view rather than the elitist...Though i agree with u that idiots follow rules and geniuses break them....What rules do u want to break?..u are not living n Afghanistan,are u?Originally posted by SibeiSuayKia:true..

Like I said in my other posts, talk to the taxi drivers, ask them how life is. Listen to people at the ground who are tolling hard just to make ends meet. I pity the taxi drivers who have to suffer because more taxi licenses are added. -
