i know its a little out of topc... but thats singaporean...
In the developed world, people eat on the go..but at least they bring their rubbish with them.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Took an SBS bus today and sat behind a young couple. About 18 / 19 years old. The boy was drinking and using the laptop. The girl was eating. After she finish, she give the paper bag to the boy who place the rubbish on the floor.
I told them in the first place you are not allow to eat and drink in the bus. Now they little the place too. The girl snap back at me say she onli leave the the rubbish there. When I alight I reminded them to clear the rubbish and they just glare at me. Why is today youngster like tat ..???![]()
I don't know which part of Singapore you live in but all the buses I've taken so far, I've not seen any trash inside. And if someone were to tell me to throw away something while I'm drinking or still eating, I'll certainly tell you in no uncertain terms to shut up.If you see me throwing it on the floor, then you are right in reminding me, if not , please sit down and enjoy the nice wonderful TV Mobile.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Maybe you are right.. I take it that firstly they eat, which is wrong. To put it on the floor is tentamount to littering.. so I open my mouth... I'm quite sure there are not going to clear it because like I mention why put on the floor and not holding on to it. The girl had nothing to do while the guy were using the lap top. BTW from the lap top screen, can see they are polytechnic students that why I assume they are 18 or 19 years old.
Anyway, I am sure many of us here could have seen rubbish on the bus. How did all the rubbish come about? It all started with someone hungry and starting to eat... not everyone is like the guy I mentioned who put it away in his bag... goto to go.. nice chatting with you ,.. good nite..
she finished eating.. I still didn't say anything untill the rubbish is placed on the floor.... I got no intention to pick a fight so I won't open my mouth if she is still eating... I know hunger can be quite difficult to tolarate and may even lead to gastric.... but after eating the least you could do is to clear the rubbish right.. Just as we were at the beach with the whole family... we make it a point to clear.. mind you the rubbish were much more than what the girl can handle.... then again, at the beach... many people also don't clear their rubbish ... over there I did ever open my mouth and fight almost ensue... I never avoid a challenge but my wife never like it ... so I always try to be discreet ... this time round my wife was with me and she agree that the couple need to be told off... I am sure I did nothing wrong .. just lamenting what is going to happen to our society ... just that ..Originally posted by LazerLordz:I don't know which part of Singapore you live in but all the buses I've taken so far, I've not seen any trash inside. And if someone were to tell me to throw away something while I'm drinking or still eating, I'll certainly tell you in no uncertain terms to shut up.If you see me throwing it on the floor, then you are right in reminding me, if not , please sit down and enjoy the nice wonderful TV Mobile.

true. in this world there are many people who are beyond reasoning. it is a waste of time and breath to tell them otherwise.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Ya in my younger day, I was alway ready for a fight.. to fight for a cause I thought, but that did not give me any happiness or sense of belonging... machiam now i young like that? haha. i don think a guy and a girl can take on me yet. still i believe that if they do not know how to behave they are disgracing their parents. so wat i said is true.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Ya in my younger day, I was alway ready for a fight.. to fight for a cause I thought, but that did not give me any happiness or sense of belonging...
