My personal opinion is that you are too busy doing whatever activities you are engrossed in now and never really bothered with such relationship stuff.
That's why now you're free and relaxed, it starts to occur to you of this situation. It's not uncommon, everyone reflects back on their happenings and actions whenever they are free and relaxed.
As said, no need to worry. What will be will be. Continue with what you are doing.
