i worked at famous amos when i was 16. left after 2 days.
after 8 hrs of shift for 2 days i smelled like a walking oven. then the staff there kept picking on me. The whole mixture is pre-prepared and left in fridge. so i would have to take a part out, and break out small pieces, pai pai zuo onto baking tray, then put it into oven.
only there 2 days what, they kept saying me slow. then kept asking me to mop the floor. (i know it is essential but why only i need to mop leh)
then second day i went out for lunch. came back to see the senior there waiting to scold me. she accused i didnt take care of the baking. she sd the timer went off 5 mins ago but i didnt take out the cookies.
i told her i was at lunch how to know leh?
she accused me further, say when she put the cookies in 15 mins ago i should know i have to remember the time and turn off cookie!

i was on contract for this freaking big company for two n a half yrs... not like i wanted to join them... but its juz a liability that guys haf to go through! thats the worst job i ever done and will neva do it again

nah..they treat temp staffs machiam like perm staffs..and perm staffs seems more xin nang than us..anything they see u 'buay song' they complain..ask u do this do that,den say why so slow..den sometimes they give us nth to do,they blame us..den sometimes suddenly soooo many,they blame us do slow..den must do OT..yet supervisor can slp & flirt with young perm lady the whole day..hav lunch late abt 5mins,cos raining or watever,stupid manager then complain us..cannot wear casual..they dun need us,purposely complain us abt other things juz hope to make us quit ourselves..

what kind of job you are working ? I do agreed working as part-timer is like they treat us like full timer. what's so great abt full timer? they also need part timers to cope their work. Anyway , the worst job i had is working in Mac donald when i was young. 7 Eleven along Marine Parade Road (where most people get off the bus to go to ECP).
1). Lousy pay - $3.50 per hour. That's almost slave labour. Currently I'm working at a hotel as a bellhop during my uni holidays - and I'm getting $6 an hour for the same intensity of work.
2). Lousy boss. She smokes a lot. Cheap cigarettes at that. We all know what cheap ciggies smell like- yucks. I have to hold my breath every time I walk past her. Crude and unrefined some more - let's not go into details.
3). Lousy customers. It's not fun at all when I get showed the finger and get yelled profanities at cos I refused to sell them ciggies when they have no IC. Come on lah, not that I want to tekan you, but 7 Eleven management sometimes goes undercover to catch errant counter staff who sell ciggies to minors.
Another customer screamed profanities at me and cursed my mother just because we ran out of a certain brand of beer he wanted. He declared that as police sergeant he has the right to anything he wants and called for my manager, demanding that I get sacked. Bad move.
My manager (another one... not the chain-smoking woman) was a police inspector during NS... he screwed the bugger left right center. Good riddance. Scolding me is one thing, scolding my mother is asking for trouble.
4). Three schools nearby. All hell breaks loose every day from 1-3 when school ends. Worst of the three schools would be Katong Convent. I have nothing against the school.... some of my friends were from there. However, once I had three girls who made fun of my voice and imitated it in a mocking manner just because I have a bass, low-pitched psuedo-Brit accent. I just said, 'That will be $5, please', and they start making fun of me.
I guess I'm pretty sensitive about my voice, for my Sec 3 class once turned against me for almost a year because of it. They had the idea that I somehow 'cultivated' it. Never mind that my bro almost has the exact same voice. Extremely shallow and hypocritical, but there you go.
At least the next customer (another Katong Convent girl) apologised for them.
Good thing she did.... otherwise I would have gone down to their headmistress/principal and given her hell. -

realised many part timers are "ill-treated"!!!!
quite similar to most of your experiences.....like getting scolded for being slow (when it's not exactly your fault...) and being pushed and bullied around by seniors or full timers.... sucks!!! >"< -

Worst job I ever done is my current job- fast food, 1st day working I already sian liao... yesterday was my second day... kenna asked by a customer why I was speaking so softly... lucky I never ask that ang moh why you speak so fast I cannot hear. Now waiting for poly to faster faster faster start.
I prefer my first job better... although almost everyday kenna scolded for being slow, not changing the gloves when it need to be changed, not recording down the defect in black and white because I never saw the lot cards, anything in the world they could find fault with and the stress that comes with chasing time to complete sorting. I missed the screws and microscope now... and the friendship. -

for me, i guess the worst job ever is the current one i'm working.....i'm thinking of quitting as soon as i find a new job.

Actually i miss westin alot too but luckily, all my present colleagues are as crappy too. So, i'm quite happy in my current job. -
