of course redundant...its going around in circles...its the circle lineOriginally posted by silv3rgal:Sg's such a small place.. and look it's so wired up with NEL and the other existing MRT Lines.. + such efficient bus services + cabs... do you think building the circle line's a waste of taxpayers money? Such a project will definately incur a huge cost.. which may be reflected in increasing transport fares...do you think it's worth it?

Have u heard of my nicks in this forum?Originally posted by sohguanh:I think Circle line is the last in the MRT projects? They further reduce travelling time for ppl in the North to somewhere say Clementi or Serangoon? Currently for northerner to go west and east is a very very long time even with MRT. North to east is the worst of all. Only got express bus but no MRT. With Circle line they can go down to say AMK or Bishan then from there switch station and then viola can reach east and west side much faster. Likewise it allow ppl in the east or west to come north faster. Not also to forget allow the NEL line nearby residents to get connected to the north, east and west?
First, the Marina line was proposed to link Dhoby Ghaut with Paya Lebar, then it was decided to extend the route to become the Circle line.Originally posted by silv3rgal:Sg's such a small place.. and look it's so wired up with NEL and the other existing MRT Lines.. + such efficient bus services + cabs... do you think building the circle line's a waste of taxpayers money? There's an additional phase 6 connecting HarbourFront and Millenia via Marina South but has been temporary put off. With this phase 6, it becomes a circle from Millenia and back, while the line between Dhoby Ghaut and Millenia is the branch.Originally posted by BITCHY_BITCH:one question, it isn't a circle, why is it called "circle line"??
The future Eastern Regional line will connects Marine Parade with Bedok, Tampines, MacPherson and Kaki Bukit.Originally posted by silv3rgal:I see no point in building such MRT stations... Even if they wanted to.. they should build one at Marine Parade...where there's a shopping complex and lotsa housing estate mah! yah.. but sad to say.. it's out of the the way.....
OMG? U mean Circle line isn't the last line? lol.Originally posted by tranquilice:The future Eastern Regional line will connects Marine Parade with Bedok, Tampines, MacPherson and Kaki Bukit.
Correct, more lines to come!Originally posted by silv3rgal:OMG? U mean Circle line isn't the last line? lol.

I myself see not point in changing trains at Raffles Place if I'm headed towards AMK from CLE. Svc 165 is so much better as it provides a more direct connection, bypassing the CBD altogether.Originally posted by silv3rgal:Sometimes buses are faster....
Going to punggol from tampines takes around 20mins on service 27.
But if anyone were to take a train all the way from Tampines MRT thru' City Hall to Outram and & switch to the NEL...... lol... it's seriously time consuming & stupid.. unless that fella loves to take train...
You tell MediaCorp... The TV is theirsOriginally posted by crazy monkey:the tv on buses are redundent
We're NOT bias coz we're looking from the economical point of view.Originally posted by waattaa!:All your comments are bias, its redundant only because it does not cater to you. If it does would u consider it as redundant
oh well...look on the bright side..Originally posted by silv3rgal:We're NOT bias coz we're looking from the economical point of view.
Do you know that the NEL is losing money? Although there ARE people like you who do use them..it's still NOT up to their expected passenger numbers.
Costs > Revenue
So you mean if u're gonna use the lines later on, means that these lines are worth building? Just because you are using it?![]()
. . . . . Who's enemies?? yours?Originally posted by Lance_han:oh well...look on the bright side..

So how do we use these lines? take the train in a circle from one end to the other end and get blasted to death at the other exit? LOL

3)lastly...in times like if we fail and are forced to retreat off our homeland(i'm praying tis doesnt happen but wth, train for the worst, hope for the best bah )the circle line, again because it's underground and offers safe passage to keppel harbour...it could also be used to evacute troops\civilians out of singapore bah...Forced to retreat off our homeland? You mean the whole of 4 million people plus to get out of Singapore?
