well if you compare with other developed countries you wont be complaining...renting a car from gov is expensive trully, coz of petrol hikes. public or private transport price hike is unavoidable if not the whole countries economy wouldnt start kicking with lesser spending power due to lower profits. lower profits means the rich spend a little lesser...the poor spend more lesser coz of no increment in salary....so it's better to share car ownerships with your spouse or ur family members..this way u will save a lot...

sian everyday complain complain and complain. listen until also sian. price increase complain. Price drop nobody complain. Have u realised yr stupid computer now cost 1/2 then wat it costs many years ago. And the speed is more then double then in the past. Last time HP w/o colour cost more than 1K. Now free HP i dun see u say boycott govt?

U write letter ask them how much is enough for them lor. Aiyo go buy SBS shares la then part of their earning will give u. Simple soultion right? THeir profits is for the shareowners wat. Somemore shareowners gor concession card. Can save even more. Get back money + save money. Kill 2 birds with one stone. Nice right?

well a ceo at least earn like 100k = 1.2 million (basic salary) + bonus every four months like say 10%.....man ...the richer is super rich...the poor remain poor...

I remember in the last election, one MP promised that there won't be fare increases and that they will work to get the economy back into shape and provide jobs and better wages for the common man.

It's nearly 5 years and they still haven't got their act together....
What is truly sad here is that in the next general election, they will say the same crap, and the idiotic majority who live amongst us will believe them and put them back into power....thus perpetuating this vicious cycle.... -

hmm...gov is like a huge company we are the empoyees....if u are relative of certain high rank people, u will get favour....it's just natural as we are human...for those of "ordinary" people with dreams should start cracking your head to make money.....buy GLC shares....buy as much as u can....
ok be serious....anyway if those of you have some ideas of any opportunity should start planning and get some interested partners to invest in....those who are rich should help the poor and guide them...and invest in them...lol you will get profit as well why not help those who has great mind but poor...helping people is good for ur deeds... -

so, govt can promise not to have fare hikes when the economy looks bleak, but no one could predict that we could recover so strongly these couple of yrs...
as for the profits, i m not sure whether that includes the money they made from other investments, or purely from commuters like u and i... but i would rather think they are staying afloat than to be crumbling (in terms of profits) like SIA almost did when they were having bad times...
perhaps the bus companies shld speak up on this matter to address our concerns... but then again, be thankful for the comfortable env that we live in... -
