Its like getting an education without going to school...which doesnt work.Originally posted by laoda99:One goes church for fellowship and for communion, not for showing off cars/clothes. If so, mebbe it is best to join a club.
For those who think they can build up their spiritual life by praying at home and staying away from church, think again. It is easy to lose faith when one does not have encouragement/discipline. Not everyone have the discipline to read the bible for himself or to pray when he is alone.
One time u skip church, u will say:" it is only once..." But will it stop there? I dun think so.
Without encouragement/discipline, it is really hard for a Christian to grow spiritually. My Bible Study leader gave me a lot of insights which I can never develop self-study at home. It is easier to clarify doubts with more matured Christian peers.

Yeah, when he goes to the church to see all the gals wearing skimpy clothes, he SURE has motivation to pray!!!Originally posted by laoda99:It is easy to lose faith when one does not have encouragement/discipline. God will judge, so dun worry....anyway the bible says "all will know him and worship him".Originally posted by coffeeortea:true.. and its all about faith too.. you dont have to go to church to be a christian.. you go to church to know more about god.
and what about those people who have NEVER heard of god, that means they are not christians, will they be sent to hell just because they never had the chance to know about god?
Well...I suppose thats another reason to go to churchOriginally posted by laoda99:One goes church for fellowship and for communion, not for showing off cars/clothes. If so, mebbe it is best to join a club.

That means they are not fated to know about God. Not in this present birth, but they will one day. This is why rebirth exists.Originally posted by coffeeortea:true.. and its all about faith too.. you dont have to go to church to be a christian.. you go to church to know more about god.

How do you summon a demon?Originally posted by F Bunta:The practice is to relocate once every few months, if not you will be summoning the same demons.
Prayers to god is a must, but the reason why we go church is for fellowship. It is not easy for individuals if they just pray at home. My guess is most will probably get lazy and backslide. Sermons at church also ensure god's word is properly shown to fellow Christians. Sometimes when we read but we do not understand.Originally posted by shade343:Well...I suppose thats another reason to go to churchBut if you can pray at home, why not? And if you need encouragement, you can always pray to God for it.
Actually I wonder what form of spirtual development do some christians gain if they are to go to church and just sing songs and chit chat?(Im referring to a certain church here)
But Gabriel is a warrior Angel. He is not an Arch Demon.Originally posted by F Bunta:It's a secret practice. First you have to invoke the sacred praise to the archangel Lucifer. Next you draw the runes on the floor for protection before the actual summoning. I witnessed the summoning of the arch-demon Gabriel.
1 CorinthiansOriginally posted by sassyfire:These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. 12So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Corinthians 10: 11-13
As the bible says, we're part of the body of Christ. Church is also referred to as a body of Christ. Hence going to church is also an important factor for faith building and understanding God's word better.
Sorry la guys, even be it any religion or any human being for that matter, quarrel, not just christians. Sometimes it helps us see things clearer so as long we don't cross the line. So please don't take anything to heart. I'm glad some members reminded me God's heartSo though I was sorely tempted to "fight for my own rights"
.... I decided not to
I have a choice to make, not to take things to heart and say sorry to distress u guys here

1 Corinthians
[b]9Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols? 11So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall.
Romans 14
13Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. 14As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. [b]15If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. 16Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. 17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
19Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.
22So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
