How to prevent entering commando?

The best way to prevent entering commando is, when they tell you to go to their camp for some physical test, psycho test...
At that time they will hand you a form asking you which unit you want to enter... There are 7 types I think... Commando guards arti infantry combat engineers and some more...
I put commando as first choice and combat engineer as last choice(7th choice)... Guess which unit I ended up in???
I was chosen to go combat engineer... Kaoz... I think they purposely want you to go the unit that you dont want to go... I also heard of people not wanting to go commando will get in... hahaha

maybe they look at your birthchart to see if you're suitable to go commando or will you die within the years of NS or not................
if your ming is tough/hard OR you won't die within the next 2 years, then you'll be selected loh...........my guess~!! -

Dun think u can really prevent that.If the ones selecting really want u to go in,u will still go in.
Well had a friend last time who can even pass nafpa test,but in the end still selected.
But what i heard is that u will not go in if you are the only son but well that is just a rumour -
but are u from jc batch? from what i know commando has already stop the VA for jc students....or maybe unreliable info haha...anyway ask u first are u interested to join commandos? first of all they will ferry u guys to pasir ris camp which is a damn ulu camp then u will be required to complete a survey form regarding yr vocation preferences( if u damn interested to be a commandos put it as first choice, most important must show yr interest) after that u will attempt an IQ test(progressive metrices) within 25 mins( if u find it easy then its very easy but if u are a blockhead then goodluck haha but i find it easy la hehe) followed by hundreds of questions about yr stress management and characters...Be sure u exhibit team spirit and positive stress management in yr answers if u want to be a cdo
After which u will head on for medical review (very slack one) The OM will ask u if u have any injury and yr interest in joining cdos...cut off myopia degree for cdos is -3.00 per eye (of course the lower yr degree the better ! Anyway hell lot ppl wear specs in cdos nowadays)... If u say 'yes i am very interested', then he will refer u as highly suitable for cdos... After the medical review the commando officers will bring u for physical evaluation where u are required to do pull ups, push ups,sit ups and standing broad jump with yr best effort...if u can perform mush better than everyone else u will be recognised one...like me! hehe They will also test yr physco motor skills( balancing yrself while eyes closed and with yr both feet tiptoe) flexibility,agility and endurance... Last but not least there will be a mini interview conducted, the interviewer will ask u about yr CCA records...yr level of maturity,possibility of signing on and lastly he will ask u if u are interested to join commandos(if u have indicated u are very interested to join cdos in the survey earlier , he might not ask u this question,in stead he will ask what kind of specialities of commandos u are interested in. ) Thats all bro...good luck for yr VA anyway do have breakfast man or else yr stomach will be rumbling... -

Do not think physical test is a important part thou.My friend then was the type who is not really fit,can't pass nafpa esp on the 2.4km run and pull up but well in the end,he was still selected and trained up.

unless u sign on or find ways to downgrade....if they wanna put u there, they will....nt up to u to decide...

commandos are the elite force of the SAF...no doubt u will recieve more demanding trainings compared to other vocations...the only thing is whether u want to do it anot...commandos receive the pride which no one else does i think if u have the ability and confidence to be one why not?

the commando officer told me that napfa is not a good way to judge yr physical ability because it might have dropped by the time u went for the VA...he also told me that the physical evaluation and physco motor test are important in deciding whether u r suitable for cdos because they dun want any commando trainees to suffer any injuries in the case where they can't take the trainings....anyway bro during the VA the officer told me my physical performance was among those best records...do u think i can get in?
