In the context of the natural disasters that have occurred, it is due to climatic changes caused by ourselves.
I still remember got a news article about oil consumption. Even if we were to stop using oil now, it would be too late. N doing so will cripple the world's economy. -
IMHO, i think that God cannot keep on saving us from our mistakes.
I see it as a vicious cycle.
1) We use oil
2) Pollution causes climatic changes
3) Tsunamis and earthquakes kill people
4) Lesser people use oil
It will keep going in this cycle, until we can find an alternative source of energy to replace oil.
Thats how I see it anw... No offense to anyone. -

I believe in the first place human was created to be perfect in the image of G*d. But somehow as it turn out, human violate the rule and eat the forbidden fruit leading to the expulsion from Garden of Eden. To paraphase, human was created to be perfect but turns out to be imperfect.
So now and then G*d will have a Big Flood, destruction of Sodom and Gomorra cities, killing all first born Pharoah Sons etc to eliminate all those humans beyond redemption. G*d is seeking perfection from his creation that gets out of hand. A simple game initially becomes such a mess that cannot be cleared up to the extent need to send his Son to Earth to wash away all our sins by shedding his blood

We are threading on dangerous theological grounds here. In Genesis, God said His creations were good, did He say "and it was perfect"? I hope Starblue can answer this. Where are the verses that explicitly mention Adam and Eve were created perfect?
Even if there are such verses in the OT, I urge Christians to check a Hebrew lexicon or at least Strong's Concordance. -

About the spread of the C and M faith? Some ppl tell me it all started at the time about Issac (Abraham with Sarah) and Ishmael (Abraham with Hagar) story. Now that is new news to me. You all concur? Seem Hagar and Ishmael were sent away but they were not forsaken by G*d. Maybe Hagar was a maid and Sarah was wife status hence they (Hagar and Ishmael) were despised? Hagar was an Egyptian. So there the stories of two diverted paths start to unfold from there onwards with the descendants of Issac and Ishmael later on
