  well frankly speaking it's also due to MP3 that we wanna listen to the artist more.... in some sense when you download a MP3 of an unknown singer and you find it nice you will 100% want more songs of the singer and thus promoting the singer.....

  It's like saying that the computer is there and you should blame the computer for providing a tool for hacking...similar concept...just that the technology is there doesn't mean that the technology is @ fault...it's the person using it.
  
  That being said, I still think that this "war" against illegal downloadings and stuff like that sure is interesting...much has unfolded in this year

  they can't help it lah.... technology is so advance unless you ban the technology of MP3s.... which i doubt will happen..... just don't download so many MP3s in one go or keep on downloading and worse sharing it with people..... if you download already just listen for your own pleasure....

  maybe they shld setup a legal website tt has all kinds of songs inside. which we pay a subscription fees to download e music.
  
  i dun buy cds cos somtimes only 1 or 2 songs out of e whole cd is nice. i rather download.

  well there are sites that offer legal download at a subscription fees.... but i doubt people will spend the trouble of paying a subscription fees where it's available illegally on the net

  i do not know if u know this but in the near future, internet will be a medium which u will just "tune in" like radio frequency waves. There will no no necessitites for IP adddresses and such...What may happen then?

  e 1s tt i seen. they only hav english songs. chinese,jap and korea songs r hard 2 find.

  Have u all heard about the SONY case where its getting sued for introducing security vulnerabilities in their ORIGINAL SONY BMG distributed CDs?
  
  I was wondering why this news wasn't in the local papers. In anycase, here is a link to the Computer tech who discovered it. I've checked the sources, it is indeed accurate, as i first saw this news on the NYTimes.
