Help!! I can't access the internet with 2 pcs!!!

The problem is I don't even know what modem/router/hub or what you used to connect the two pcs to the Internet. -

Router modems are not just modems.
They are modems with routing capability.
And a modem that supports both Ethernet and USB does not mean that modem is a router modem. -

If you are using Starhub - get a Linksys router.
If you're using SingNet - check with SingNet for which router they support.
If with router still don't work, then you either have a virus problem, or your firewall setting is blocking your connection. -

Ok i just got this figured out.....when both of my pc's are turned on and running, one of them cannot access the net and while the first to be switched on is able to...so what's the problem??

why dun u tell us which pc connected to the usb port of your modem which pc connected to the ethernet port? if so then your ethernet can only accept either a usb connection or an ethernet connection at any one time please

1 More thing...whenever i try to watch videos.....they seem to be discoloured like green here and blue and red and all sorts of colours...and it';s never cleaer!!!!!

for the pc using USB connection to modem must inistall USB specified drivers from the modem installation disc.....for rj45 no need just go to the IE address bar and key the default PING (e.g http://xx.x.x.x/) without the "www" coz this shall be the address of the specified modem hardware.
make sure u also install the disc sent to you by yr ISP on both computer. connection via USB modem may require log in with user name and password but for ethernet no need its an always on connection unless u pull the plug or switch of the modem power.
but we dun know yr service plan is it dial up or broadband? -
