GHC kept promoting the White Bros Fork to me.
nvm, this Sat (or next ) Kelvin of GHC will be bringing his White Bros forked Aizan to the stall. I'll test it out to see if its really better den FOX.
Personally...I feel FOX much better!
I love Offroading too! but usually in the Holidays! Everytime wash bike very leceh! -

Exactly how ur gonna test the fork? Noway to test the fork at waterloo, each fork has its characteristics, depending on PSI set, fork travel & terrain, fork will react differently.Originally posted by markzz:Tell that to Lance Armstrong, will u?

What's ur budget for the entire setup? so far u mentioned the voodoo frame & a fork....................what abt the parts? As far i know, cyclist comes in 3 categories........weight weenies, value for money, extravagent spenders.
I'm the value for money guy while my fren is the extravagent guy, which is why i'm on ATX890 with LX parts & a REBA while he's on a BLUR 4X with XTR & a FOX TALAS. And best of all, we're on road most of the time. I always tell him that his entire setup is under utilized. The only over-rated part i have on my bike is CHRIS KING no thread set.
Judging from ur voodoo frame, which is scandium.......u shld be going light plus ur fork's minimum travel shld be 100mm. The f100rlt stands at 1.47kg++ mainly for xc, not sure how heavy white brothers is?
Honestly, if i'm using ur frame........i would use a SID carbon or the SID world cup(modulus carbon crown box & steerer) , set the travel to 100mm, SID averages from 1.2kg - 1.3kg with a $800 - $1200. Not forgetting, another heavy weight bicycle component is the WHEELSET.
So you have yet to say what u plan to do? -

tires: Michellin XC Road(slick ) and Continential Twister Pro (offroad )
brake system: Shimano Deore Hydraullic
saddle : Fizik (the XC race model )
Cyclometer: Wireless Cateye Vectra
shifters : XTR (not sure want STi or rapidfire )
airhorn : Air zound
Headset: Amoeba
Fork: Unsure..must test out SID, White Bros and Fox 1st b4 I decide!
That's about it la.. plan to set up my bike like that!
I'm a performance cyclist! I value racing level performance more then lightweight. If a fork can't soak up bumps well enough in BT , i wun buy it, even if its lighter den Fox.
Weight Weenies will go for a fully carbon rigid fork! -
