HardTail or Full Suspension MTB?

i nearly died.
junction of Tg Rhu Rd/Fort Rd/Meyer Rd.
i was gg str8 to ECP frm Mountbatten Rd. one road bike behind me. another cyclist on the pedestrian crossing there. green light at my favour.. waved to the cyclist out of goodwill. then the car wanna turn right frm Fort Rd to Meyer Rd.. cant even wait for me to pass the junction. horn at me. braked hard.
to all drivers, please treat cyclists as a road user. -

Plus just yesterday as i was passing dempsy road approaching botanic gardens/gleneagles towards orchard/tanglin. This stupid black merz, i was so damn near to the junction & that idiot still turned from opposite side, can her him dragging his engine just to cut across me.
Jammed on my discs, plus the discs have not been bleeded fully, probably 30cm to hitting him & becoming SUPERMAN.
On the way to changi point, was a killer man, wind resistance was strong & now my calfs are hurting

Dun worry, the new range of ROCK SHOX's are doing great. All boils down to waht sort of cyclist u are & what is your entire setup. Try not to CONTRADICT your setup. Its either ROAD/XC/ALL MOUNTAIN. -
I'm more afraid of the "wind Vortex " that big trucks make when they zoom pass u at Coastal Road. I had to countersteer in order to fight the force that's sucking me outwards into the next lane!!!! Summore I'm using a not so light MTB! Now my setup is more or less completed, it goes like this:
Giant ATX890
LX M580 hollowtech II crankset, rear dee, front dee, cassette, disc brake levers, rotors, hubs, skewers & cables
XT M751 rapidfire shifters
Deore M535 callipers
DT swiss with sapin laser spokes & maxxis larsen mimo
syntace stem
cane creek s6 headset
easton EA70 handlebar
amoeba bm 120 barends
thomson elite seatpost
fizik dolomoti saddle
rock shox reba race 2006
Total cost impact : $2300+
And its still as light as my previous setup, though i must admit, LX is slow on gear change but i'm 95% on the road so its FINE. use XTR if you want quick changing of gears when challenging trails. -

Wah..yesterday saw a bunch of BMXers cycling against HEAVY traffic at Orchard Road! Den 1 joker popped a Manual (do a Wheelie n hold it while riding forward ) even when there's only so little space between him and the vehicles!! Such reckless behaviour!!! Wad's gonna happen if he loses balance and falls right in front of a speeding lorry? -
My bike's a hardtail, though I use it only for tarmac, paved paths and the occasional grassy patch/roots.

I cycle 1cm from the Yellow line painted on the side of the road. Infact the M960 hasn't improved much from the M952. While the XT's M751 is catching up well.
But i like the LX M580 crankset, if you read all reviews LX is best when it comes to value for money.
On the road its fine with LX. Coz not much gear shift, rest is up to bike's weight & LEGS -
whew..came home not long ago from Pulau Ubin!
I used a rental bike cuz mafan to bring own bike. The terrain there is much less "fierce" den BT, bt its si beh MUDDY! also, if u wander around in the woods, its easy to get lost!
Den while cycling in the dirt track alone, I came across 3 wild DOGS! wa lau.. the moment I passed them, they sprang to their feet and charged at me barking madly! As the Rental bike is lousy, i can't ride fast enough to pull away safely. Finally, I reached a STEEP uphill! I noe dat if I ride on, I wun be able to power the bike up and will be attacked by the dogs. So i jammed my rear brake, skidded 180 degrees, and muscled my way through the 3 dogs! The middle dog refused to dodge and i simply rammed my bike into it- if i stopped, i'll be attacked! The dog howled in pain n ran off. The other 2dogs got scared and simply froze while I pedalled like hell towards the tarmac road!
