Here's a tip on taking public buses. Record the time of the bus arrival at your bus stop every day and keep it for statistical reference. You can also note down the percentage of passengers for that particular time. Not only will you know exactly what time the bus arrives, but you'll also know which is the best time to take the least populated bus.
P.S. Speaking from experience, the accuracy is 3mins give/take. -

i took the bus 179 to NTU one round last time at night.. i missed the bus.. so when the next bus comes, the Q is already full up althought the railings is so long.. then when bus leave interchange, already ppl stand at the door.
inside NTU that night.. i saw NTU very big.. but i only see the halls of residence.. cannt see much lecture/ academic places le..
and that place.. how ppl get around? theres an internal shuttle service anot? -

great lifestyle?90% of the time U are buried in lecture notes,tutorials,reference books,CCA,hall activities....where got time to enjoy the "condo"?

queuing up at interchange is better than watching the buses zoom pass U at the bus stops. -

should have 1 more bus service terminating elsewhere besides boonlay eg jurong east because there got 2 MRT interchanging lines.
even NUS got 151 from non-clementi terminal.
also, JE terminal seems under-utilized compared to boonlay's so easier to convince SBS to allocate to JE instead of boonlay.
Both NTU and NUS have been lobbying support for their claims to bkt timah campus vacated by SMU. 2,000 signatures were gathered in a matter of nine days, to support NUS's petition and finally beating NTU to it. NUS will move its law and business schools to the Bukit Timah campus freeing more space in kent ridge for science, engineering and medical schools and industrial collaborations.
NUS is quick to respond to market demands, for example,
making strategic moves in changing the name of its school of mechanical and production engineering to mechanical engineering instead.
and merging its school of electrical engineering and school of computer engineering into 1 school instead.......etc
NTU should adapt faster to benefit its students early as possible -
