As of 21 15 hours, Channelnewsasia still say there's a manhunt going on.
I k-po go that area this evening, other than reporters.. i don't see any manhunt underway. haha
Anyway, to answer your smuggling question. I can tell you is that people who succeeded in smuggling are actually the majority. Those who gets caught and become news are the unlucky ones.
A pistol/revolver is only that small. How big is a container? Pistol can be easily hidden in a entire container full of goods.
If you have any friends in the shipping business, they will tell you how lots of contraband gets a "tompang" ride with legit goods -
if the guy is trained in IPSC and is carrying a semi auto weapon ... wearing body armour no use... double tapping on the armour will pierce it... if he's fast and is tactical

Even with the mandatory death penalty around, we still see cases like that now and again... can't imagine what the situation would be like if we were to sack the hangman.
Anyway, this is most likely a gangland revenge killing... the victim in this case was a KTV lounge owner. -

Gosh, the murderer must have hated him like anything, for him to pump 7 rounds into him point blank. For all we know, this may well be a case of a desperate debtor killing the loanshark who has destroyed his livelihood. -

In this case, I guess the police will nab the gunman within 48 hours.
1.7m fat chinese man in his 30s, who is obviously blind in the right eye... he will stick out like a sore thumb anywhere he goes.
I doubt he would have had the chance to leave Singapore before the police sealed the checkpoints. And the police would have plugged the loophole in the checkpoints, thanks to Mr Took Leng How's escape attempt 2 yrs ago. Unless he is going to escape by swimming across the Johor Straits.. -

I know whois the man: a gunman probably anyone from the N.S. to the Policemen and whosoever has a gun..could be a foreigner, but whois so clever to smuggle a gun into Singapore..??? all police had gun and all bullet accounted for, mayBE some loose ammunitions from somewhere..it is a detective story to follow..no need to play Sherlock Holmes, it too easy the case! too many figure prints, and too many clues!
they will catch him in no time..zip out!

the suspect is blind in his right eye and is definitely not in Police NS. Suspect is in his LATE 30s and 40s. -

super gunman...make so many noise when killing ppl sure ppl can trak him down lah!
he should...mask his face......tie up the victim's family members....lead victim to the bedroom, close shut all windows and doors....tie victim and gag him.....use a pillow or blanket to mask the single shot to the head.....ransack the place make it look like robbery...leave the crime scene with discretion...wear gloves.....have passport ready and flee to MY by bus immediately after the crime...if the checkpoint has been alerted when he about to leave by land, still go chance to alight and hide in sg.....save up 6 rounds which can be useful in a hostage or standoff situation....
but i have no pity for the victim...look at his backround and livelihood...i wonder if the money earned are ever clean -

Impossible to be from Police. Police revolver only 5 rounds, and if it was from Police once they uncover the bullets they should have matched the calibre to their own.
From this I can deduce the murder weapon was a semi-automatic pistol. Could be a Glock. A Glock is easily smuggled in due to its non-metallic, synthetic build. -
