actually, like i said, donating within buddhism is about compassion. Xtians are normally the ones who do things to make themselves guilt free, not to benefit others. Afterall, the very reason they embrace xtianity is because they don't want to go to hell. Some of them are good, they explain to you what Christianity is.
Others are just irritating, to the extent I have to threaten to call the police for harrassment.
And some can be lame to suggest the wu zi tian shu (no-word Bible), which sounds more like Jin Yong stories rather than Christianity.
So far, it's just Christians. My Catholic friends have never gone as far as the Christians. Probably got to do with something of spreading the Gospel? I got the idea they need to spread it from them, not sure though, some of my Christian friends condemn this way of spreading. -

Just because some of us are irritated or uncomfortable, there is no reason why the religion should be flamed. Almost all religions teach us to be better human beings and do good in the world. I admit, Islam also teaches us that there is only one true way, but it still encourages all Muslims to acknowledge and respect other religions. Why? So that this kind of "religion wars" should not be occurring. Everyone that has a religion not necessarily follow their respective religions strictly. You may be irritated by SOME christians pestering you but do not stereotype the religion and other innocent christians. Being a Muslim, I'm irritated and angry by so called "Muslims" out there who are bombing innocent people in the name of Islam. My point is, it is not the religions to be blame but the ideology and methods used by practioners of the religions that are sometimes wrong. In this world, there will always be evil/bad and also good. Its just life. No matter how bad it is or how good it is at the end of the day, thats life...

Jesus died on the cross for your sins, yes, but have you accepted His offer of salvation? If you have not, then you still won't go to Heaven. (From a Christian standpoint). If you don't accept His offer of salvation, your sins still remain to your debt. They have not been paid for.
Do you honestly think you can sin all you want and go to Heaven? God is a God of righteousness and He cannot stand sin. Seriously, God will judge your heart, I do not know, but GOD does. He knows your heart. -

as for me, i prefer to try not to sin as much as possible. I don't care where i go when I die. I care about not doing the wrong thing while I'm alive, because my actions will have consequences on others. On the other hand, thats more than I can say about a lot of xtians, who don't care if they cause distress towards others as long as they can convince themselves they will make it to heaven. Like I said, its a very self orientated religion, and its no small wonder so many xtians I meet are pretty selfish. -

The sun orbits any other planet in the solar system if you do take it as a reference point. The basis of relativity is that there is no fixed reference point in the three dimensional space of the universe, the only constant is the speed of light through a vacuum, no matter when viewed at any speed or position. Your shallow understanding of this concept is evident in your responses.
The concept of earth orbiting the sun and the sun orbiting the centre of the galaxy can only be said if you only measure according to newtonian physics, (and use a point of reference which is the centre of the galaxy) which already is proven to be only an estimate, and works only within a certain range of values. One example are atomic clocks, where transporting them between different locations requires recalibration according to relativistic time dilation. -

Christianity is not a self orientated religion, it is not even a relgion. What Christianity means is that it is a personal relationship with God. Just you and Him.
The bible tells us what God and Jesus have done for us. It ultimately is up to you to make the decision whether to believe and accept or not. Only you and God know what is happening between the two of you.

Whether the earth is 6000 or 6 million years old, only God knows. I can accept that it can be 6000 and I can accept that it can be 6 million. God is God. Remember that there was the time of Noah where it rained for 40 days and 40 nights and the waters covered even the highest peaks so that no visible land was seen. Can you imagine the kind of pressure this would have produced? So wether carbon dating is accurate, whether fossil records are accurate, who can say. if you take earth as a reference point, the suns orbit around the earth would indeed produce the same orbit that the earth produces around the sun. Just that the pathways of the other planets would not, and can only be corrected by drawing orbitals over orbitals. yes i remember the great flood. no the pressures while great, is not a good enough explanation for a big difference of billions of years difference in evidence and actual age. As for the bible, lets just say its not so much God's living word as it is Constantine's living word. U know what the problem is? I believe there is God but this HUMAN religion of xtianity is not convincing enough. Its fundamental ideas are wrong. And yes I believe we reap the seeds we sow. So it looks to me that if im going to hell, I'm going to meet a lot of xtians down there. but u know what? I'm not likely going to hell
