my house everyday, every morning, every afternoon and every night sure got sounds coming from the ceilings. it isnt any scary anyway. but then, if you were watching a ghost movie or story, suddenly ceilings came the marble sound, i would scare till dead meat man!!! Mr. Green

i think its normal to have marble sounds coming from ceilings lar. i think no matter where we move, there will be marble sounds everywhere de lar.

i got one sure-win method to make the ghost go away. make a hole in your ceiling and stick your head through. after the ghost play with your head he'll go away liao...wont bother u anymore..

OKAY OKAY!!! now i serious yeah? ok this is another method but its good way to capture the ghost and make him listen to u.. at night u musnt sleep. when u hear the sounds u must say 'show yourself, devil child (thats his name)'...and then after the demon comes out u must fight him wif your kung fu power..if u beat him, he'll go away..but if u lose...HAH! then the ghost will haunt u forever...

Though not 100% proven but I like to put forward one interesting theory:

BACTERIAL ORGANISM.

Bactarial organism that thrives around structural rods in the ceilings.

Lighting attached to the ceilings produces heat that overtime creates a warm hotbed for bacteria to thrive in between concrete granulars around the rods.

Why around rods?

Chemical reactions between the rods and concrete, triggered by heat caused by lightings, electrical appliances, weather conditions etc help create the necessary conditions for bacteria to thrive.

Overtime, the bacteria eats into the fine concrete modulars, producing spaces around the rod. This cause the rod to "move" or resonate due to sudden "concrete space" created by the disintegration of concrete by the bacteria.

Come to think of it, there could not have been so many "hantu" in HDB flats, all playing marbles.

The furniture dragging sounds is caused by humans.

The sound you hear that seem to come from the ceiling actaully could have come from a few floors below you.

Audio Illusion.

If you happen to have "Getai" performances at your carpark infront of your block, if you didnt know exactly where it came from in the first place, you would have thought it is at the back of your block.

Same theory if you hear things at the ceiling whcih could have been at the floors below you.
