Frankly speaking, be it ITE or PLSE cert, it doesn't matter. What matters it that person character and thinking.
In fact many ITE is earning money more than the U? How come? Coz they think out of the box and have real life experience.
There are, definately a lot of ITE black sheep. Creating troubles here and there therefore change the our perspective of view towards them
Anyways, my twin brother oso graduate from ITE and he's in poly 3rd year now. He's doing pretty well in poly and is quite popular in the class. So what's wrong with ITE ppl? Many I know are pretty nice people to hang out with. In fact, they are more humble than ppl who are "higher educated", so to speak. -

Why are people stereotyping ITE students? Funny because I've known some friends whom only obtain like "O" levels and apparently they are more street smart than most degree students, probably due to the apparently "harsher" real life experience, you know, the survival skills. The thing is, there are many "O" level bosses, mostly from private companies because government companies, as many already know, only look at grades and qualifications. I mean if the world works like government companies, there would be no Bill Gates, he drop out of university last time. There will be no alot of things, such as planes because people laugh at the Wright brothers. Is ITE qualification lower than "O" levels? I mean if "O" level people can be boss of companies where degree students are trying to get their job in, why can't you guys give ITE students a chance in life?
ITE students already had a hard time coping with the demands from parents, the unfair criticism flying from all corners, besides, does anyone here still believe in the old saying, study hard and you will get a good job and therefore you will live a great life? Have you people read, at least in Singapore, that degree students driving cab for a living, or highly educated people rotting at home coz they can't get a job for months?
I'm not saying education is not good, in fact it's encouraged to study as much as possible, to promote lifelong learning, but to unfairly apply your personal ideals on how ITE students should be, are, and behave is definitely not right. -

Even though ITE may have seemed like a 'educational dumping ground', but most of my reservice mates and friends are ITE,ITC grads. And i respect them for their values they have, of character and attitude.
And some of my friends in this forum are in ITE, they are nice people and are already discouraged to be in ITE because they are LABELLED.
Is there a need to add more salt into it?
It IS true. ITE have notorious reputation. Then again, everyone are responsible to craft out their future. Let's not take ITE as a benchmark of their own integrity and diginity.
I'm speaking from my personal perspective and my personal experience with those friends i value.
I defend by those sweeping statements you've made because it doesn't seem to me, you have any good experience with friends from ITE.

I take a Honour asking for sweeper, compared to Nitec, they will choose Nitec.
In contrast, I ask for sales manager, they definately prefer me instead.

in real life, I was quoted $50 per shot.. serious. no joke.
one gal staying in amk named zhenzhen quoted me $50 for once.
one gal from pandan gardens named zhu zhu or lizhu whatever quoted me $100
another from cck quoted me $70 but need to book hotel.
if you guys cheong enough, you should know that many ITE girls are selling themselves and when in trouble, they shift the blame to the guys. -
