U have flouted this principle, "there are bad hats everywhere" and adopted the "birds of the same kind flock together" mentality. Do u really think all birds of the same kind flock together? Birds, yes. Humans, no. Unless ur saying that we have bird brains.
Secondly, a person's worth is not measured by his qualifications. In the govt sector, yes. In the private sector, no. Even if the govt measures success by qualifications, that's their point of view and it's shallow. A lot of us are the brainwash of the system. How many uni grads actually enter uni because they wana learn how to be entrepreneurs? Show me a subject which says, "How to make money." Money making knowledge comes from "social universities". A number of ITE grads can beat degree holders flat here.

It true that Degree holder have more chances in job-seeking than ITE grads,but it only a stepstone it a signalling effect to employer that this indivdual have obtain something from Uni while the ITE grad obtah an ITE cert.
But in the long-run,it really depend on how the guy fair in his job scope,even if he obtain a degree but if he is not able to cope with his job(being lazy,less experience etc) i don't mind hiring another guy from ITE with the Same level of skills but whom is hardworking ,able to settle the job given effectively .Anyway i think this thread is somehow moving out of point from the main topic. -

My question is: If someone were to pick ITE grad or NUS grad for a job with $1000 a month, which will that good person pick?
The answer is obvious.
In every society, there are bound to be people/students/families who are poor, trouble-makers and will be looked down upon.. I am just stating that sadly, this is Singapore and it just happens that ITE girls who sell their bodies or beat up another innocent girl are to be looked down upon.
And also in every society, there are bound to be people whom people will respect. They are the university graduates.
Like it or not, in a country like Singapore, u have got no choice. -
