Ever since I'm in NP, I never felt slack before.
I had been undergoing stress.. that my health worsened.
less than 2 months left at NP, but I still got 8 projects on hand!!!

i am a jc student, let me tell u my experience k.
its the 1s ttime i've heard of poly ppl goin jc you knw? i have knwn quite some ppl who entered jc and went to poly, that is common. is poly life really that stressed?
in jc, we have project work , PW which lasts for 1 yr.no jc students like project wrk btw, its a screwed up thingy setup by MOE haha. then now got new syllabus, im in jc2 now, so the new syallabus dun affect me. but i beleve if you enter, i'll needa take 4 subjs, go ask ard. + base of 2 subjs, gp+chi. so its 6.
when you are in jc, its easy to get demoralising grades unless you are good or frequently muggin. ya, jc1 mayb fun but there are always chances that you get retained. moreover, if u go jc, u MUST GO UNI. else u'll be stuck in life. so u hav no choice but to mug ur yr2. jus nw some1 mentioned abt jc ppl no life, wun come online. hahaha, no wor. we aint that muggish as u think . well it all depends.
i jus got DOO for my mid yrs and being in a top class, i feel that they despise me. so yups. u consider abt goin jc 1st. -

I have never been so stressed in my life before. There so many projects to do but at the same time I must also do tutorials and study for common test. I just canÂ’t seem to handle them all. The worst of worst is that I need to work in groups. Working with ppl just sucks big time and it just adds another big bag of stress onto me, each one have their own personality..
I just donÂ’t know what to do now, Sometimes I donÂ’t go to school because I already cannot finish my old work and am not ready to take on new ones. I feel like quitting poly and going to JC or something. At least there ur academic performers doesnÂ’t depend on 3 or 4 other ppl. I donÂ’t even have time to sit and watch TV anymore. What should I do? How can I handle all this? Need answers from ppl who have successfully gone through all this?

anyway to share my experience, year 1 starting i do my TT and my LT, after that i stopped going to LT as i never paid attention anyways, except for macroecons which i liked a lot. Then i started to do last minute TT. as for projects, my groupmates went mia in the middle of the night and i had to finish the report+presentation with my friend(thank goodness he was awake).
year which is now, my results are better and i know my tutorials. i stopped going to all Lectures already
Ok based on all ur comments i think that time and work management is everything. I think if i start early and drive slowly i will not end up with so much stress... -

i once heard a senior told me before, where you are stuck at, is where you pick yourself up at, no point escaping.
Our brains will definitely give ourselves lots of excuses to quit this and that when we face things we don't understand.
But in the first place, are we really that dumb not able to understand? Or we are simply too lazy or don't bother to try to understand?
If really that dumb, then how come still can score so well that can go JC?
Since you are the one who make the choice then don't regret so much, put in the efforts and you shall rear what you sow.
I last time maths everytime got F9 one, then go poly study suddenly everyone come ask me to teach them maths liao.

i graduating in march i think.. -
My worst Poly period was when i had 9 modules in a semester. Damn busy.
Finals was 6 modules in 7 days. I practically had to go school early to study, take the test, study for the next coming module, sleep and repeat it for the whole week.
I told myself it would be a miracle if i pass them all.(i skipped lessons and never did much tutorials) And i passed all. My friends were amazed.(cuz i always slack and fail modules)
Worked my ass off for the FYP too. Glad its all over.
Tell yourself you will get the damn Dip and f*** studying once and for all.
edit: I'm frm Ngee Ann too! Chemical Engineering. -
what makes you think jc life is not stressful?
whether you are stressed or not depends on you not the school you're in. if you arent organised or diligent or you dont manage your time and work properly DUH you'll feel stressed. -
poly is stress. but it can be mighty fun at times. working with unreasonable people allows you a somehwat realistic outlook to the working world.
then again, if poly is that easy, then lan jiao, you think the paper worthless ah? -
my 2nd year was very stressful. i'm amazed i managed to make it to year 3.
year 3 was the most fun. cos year 3 we can choose to specialise in different areas. the one given to me was luckily of my interest and i manages to pass all of them.
so bottomline, choosing your course of study is very important. choose 1 that is of your interest. then at least you won't feel stressful or find it tough to handle the work.
