Essentially, 'Chinese religions' are made up of Buddhism, Taoism and folk tradition/practices.
Some do mix, yeap.
But, as a Buddhist, you shouldnt be receiving angpows for CNY coz CNY is born out of folk tradition.

Is evangelism so really part of Buddhism that it warrant such big attention, need correction of image, and converting many Buddhists in Singapore as you said?

Ok, unlike you, I will admit my bad on the pollution part, but I am more interested in whether you do receive angpows during CNY, since you do not like to have others have misconceptions about Buddhism and folk practice.

I don't see the need to be so aggressive and hardline. I believe you yourself were introduced to Buddhism without putting down others' beliefs. People of other faiths have minds to think and eyes to see, so why the fuss?
