For all for you that planning to subscribe to Singnet Broandband service, think again.Their service is really really lousy.
I just got my line 2 weeks back and i'm facing 2wks worth of problems.
1stly,i'm not able to change the default password for the email that comes with the broadband. I call them up for 4 days and all the stuffs gave me all kind of story. One even tell me to give him the pasword i want to change too so that he can do it on his side. I mean WTF!! if i tell you the password wat fir i change??? then finally after 5 days, they solved the damn problem for me.
2ndly, It's the router that they provided. It's causing so much trouble till now i cant even solve it.The technical came and tell me it's my comp problem.Whilst my "Linksys" router that i brought previously work just fine. So divert us to the vendor. When called back to the vendor,he gave me attitude and said he'll called back.Till now no news from him~

3rdly,the billing.I've only subscribed and the 1st bill they sent to me mounted up to ard 200.I checked and found out that they had billed me wrongly.I called them and they asked me to pay first then will rebate the remaining back to me.I was very angry, why should i pay for something i have not even used.
I emailed to them regarding the case but NO ONE bother to give me a explanation or apology. So tell me what should i do?Cancelled the contract? & somemore now the 10MB plan is giving out the LCD TV.WTH,when i sign up,not even a freebie, only a stupid wirless modem that dun even come with a proper packaging. Haiz!!!!!!

Hi PRINCESS,
Sorry to hear your problems with SNBB. But I assure you your problems are not because they have poor service standards. For the record, Starhub's call centre is just as hard to get through sometimes, especially during weekends. This could be due to several factors:
a) High call volume due to new promos.
b) Ratio of customers to call centre staff is roughly 1000:1.
c) Network problems causing most people to call in.
Your problem with your password not being able to reset is the first time I heard of such thing. And your router problem may not be a router issue, suspect that your comp's specs doesn't meet the requirements for the router that they provided. The fact that your Linksys router works doesn't matter cos it wasn't meant for ADSL connection.
The billing problem may be due to the fact that they have just upgraded their billing system. They have effectively shifted the billing cycle, thus you are getting billed for 2 mths instead of the normal 1 mth. This affects all SNBB customers, so you're not the only one looking at 3-figure bills this month.
Kinda surprised that you signed up for their most expensive plan (25Mbps right?) without getting any premium. Even the 1.5Mbps plan is giving out a Sony PSP, didn't you check the other plans before you signed up? Or did you sign up for a no-frills plan, in which case you would be getting a lower subscription rate than normal?
I myself have just upgraded to the 10M plan during the Sitex promo, free LCD tv, yippee! Just goes to show how good Singnet is to provide the best value for money deals for its customers.
