He said he was at P..... Princess hotel (bangkok) with his family. They got 2 rooms. So, after checking in.. they all gathered in 1 room to play cards.. and watched TV. But the TV kept changing channels by itself. It'll change from Channel 1, to channel 2 and so on until it reach the end, then repeats from Channel 1. And the volume went from low to very high to very low and very high again.
My ex-colleague thot the TV was spoilt. Asked the technician to come and check. As soon as the technician stepped into their room, the TV was back to normal. The technician could not find anything wrong with the TV. As soon as the technician went away, the TV started its antics again. My ex-colleague and family were a little spooked. Decided to turn the TV off and not touch it.
That night.. they were all asleep. My ex-colleague's wife woke up in the middle of the night and found my ex-colleague in a daze.. and then he got up to walk out of the room.. like he was sleep walking. His wife was a little worried and called out to him. Then he "woke" up. He said he did not know anything at all. And he did not have any sleep-walking before, ever..
The whole family checked out immediately the next day..
So far touch wood the hotels I stay in Bangkok I have no experiences -

frm then, there were mysterious, tragic deaths, hauntings, etc
it was big news because thai ppl very superstitious and the government also got involved in the investigation
i think there was also a horror movie based on that. True story. -

My grandparents used to have a shophouse just opposite bras brasa complex before the gov bought back everything. Used to go there to play alot and I love to go up to the attic to see if there are any kittens though I always get a huge scolding when I go up.
Anyway, the shophouses there were one of those pre-war buildings and after they sold off the shophouse my grandma told me that it wasn't really 'clean'
She said that once she was sewing in the attic and from the corner of her eye she could see a girl dressed in the traditional peranakan baju looking at her. The thing is my grandma is not afriad of such things and she said she asked the girl what she wanted and if she wanted to look at her sew, she can come beside her to see. The girl disappeared
Then another thing is that everynight she said, without fail when she is about to sleep, there will be these footsteps on the wooden steps of someone running and jumping on it making a lot of noise. Thing is no one can hear it except for her She said she will always go to the steps and yell and dare the 'ghost' to show itself to her but it never happens
Anyway I don't think my grandma was making up stories to tell me. She told me alot of stories about her childhood and her experiences during the Japanese Occupation etc as well . -

My teacher, the same one in th previous story, also work as a sailor before.
He told us that ships, DONT like woman.
An here is the story...
In the past when he work in a cruise as a sailor, he already knew that ships does not like woman in them cause ships are woman too, and they can grow jealous of one another.( I dono how he knew it than, but this whole encounter is his story)
The captain of the ship is an causasian. This high ranking people are allowed to bring their family members aboard the ship and sail to the destination place. So, the captain brought his wife along.
On the second night, when the cruise is in the middle of the sea, the captain found his wife missing. He quickly ask around and also got his subordinates to keep a look out for his wife and inform him immediately. For the whole night, the search for his wife was on.
Finally, when dawn broke, he ordered that they look through the passengers particulars and see if they suspect anyone who could have kidnapped his wife. They found out that one of the passenger is an ex convict. They immediately went to his room and rumage through the place to see if he have abducted the captain's wife. But his wife was not in there.
By the third night, the captain's wife was still missing.
That night, my teacher felt hungry, so he left his cabin and went to the kitchen to cook a bowl of noodle. On the way up the stairs with his bowl of noodles, he saw something at the corner of the staircase.
It was the captain's wife. She was kneeling on the floor and was dripping with water all over. My teacher wanted to message the captain at one but did not have any communication tools with him at that time. So, he went over to the lady and wanted to touch her head to comfort her. But, his hand went right through her head.
My teacher was shock and stunned there. The figure was still sobbing away, when the wife shifted a bit, my teacher saw that the wife was chained up, it was the kind of chains you see in tv that is on the prisoner.
The figure than continued crying and then, with her chained hand, she pointed to a direction of the fuel room. ( i cant remember the room name, but only authorised people can go in).
My teacher did not know what to do but just walk away quickly back to his room.
The next day, he told the encounter to his captain. His captain one again, immediately odered that the room be opened and searched. Then, at a corner of the room where its quite gloomy, they found the captain's wife body chained to a pipe.
Till today, no one on board could explain how did she manage to get in there because the room is alway lock and only authorised personnels could get in. My teacher however firmly believe that its because the ship is jealous of the captain's wife and hence chained her to a corner of the ship.

hi. i have 2 stories on my hand right now. first is regards to my grandmother's funeral. all of us stayed at my relative's house while e funeral is going on downstairs at the void deck. at nite, we sprinkled flour on the floor to see if my 'grandmother' got come back and visit us or not. the next day, we were horrified to see footprints made on the floor! heh. but then we realised it was the house maid who din noe abt such things and jus walked around the house.
aniwae, during the same funeral,the maids were preparing for lunch. there werent many people in the house then. suddenly, a scream filled the air and the sound of a broken glass could be heard. we ran to the kitchen and found the maid crying, saying she saw my grandmother. all of us were seriously freaked out...

i was from tanjong katong secondary school and there used to be this servant who was very well-known in my school and we called him - Mr Manap. He was a friendly guy who's quite old..and the reason he's well-known is because he could see ghosts. Every time we passed by his room (yes! he got a room of his own!), we'd hear him chanting..den playing around with his beads... sometimes in the morning, i could see him walking his bicycle to school from the side gate while talking to himself. Spooky eh?
and one day, (saturday) he died mysteriously. what happened? the police said he died of heart attack but it was impossible. He was a fit guy! we couldnt buy the story. some said he was attacked by ghosts of the school(heh..we do have a lot you know), others said it was jus his time to go. Also, a week or so before his death, he actually requested to take a group photo with the staff of the school. that's why there was still his picture in our school magazine last year. it was as though he knew he was gonna die.
he passed away in the canteen, near to the bookshop. any ex-tk people would know him ba..=) -

I have a family member who works in the NEL, when they 1st start construction,nightshift he had to petrol the tunnels(with a group of course), from one station to the other. When he got to potong pasir that part of the tunnel from serangon, one of his colleges spotted somthing white around 20-30 meters infront. The Kuji-in practice symbolizes that all the forces of the universe are united against evil; because of this, it was often used by the common people for luck when traveling, especially in the mountains.
In Japanese, the nine syllables are: Rin, Pyou, Tou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen. If the nine cuts are then made, as is sometimes done, the syllable Kou is sometimes spoken. -

actually each individual hand sign comes with a chant..
it is said that if one can practice the 9 hand signs with the respective chants, one in the morning, facing the sun and one at night, facing the moon...one would obtain power ...
but it was also said just the nine hand signs alone, can drive away evil spirits
