What to expect in YJC???

16 points (after ECA deduction some more) and you think it's so damn good? Think of the competition around you... I dont think you can even get into NYJC with 16 points.. You will need to appeal... And i think you also mentioned that you chose TPJC as your last choice right? Do you know why you didn't get it? For goodness sake, please THINK! You could have gotten it if you listed TPJC under your first 3 choices! You must have listed down all the god damn good JCs for your first few choices right? You make me wanna laugh....
Think: Those students who got 16 points and they chose TPJC as their first choice. The would most probably get to go into that JC... And the selection goes on and on down your list of choices (down all the good JCs that you listed) and by the time it reaches TPJC --> Ah! You are eligible! BUT sorry no more places left.. All taken up by students who prioritized TPJC...
Now, do you understand how you were posted to YJC even though you did not choose it at all? The MOE was nice enough to put in effort and place you in a JC that's not so bad... They could have just DUMPED you into the lousiest JC in Singapore or worse, just inform you that you have not been allocated a JC...
One last thing... YOU FREAKING SCREWED UP YOUR LIST OF CHOICES AND YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU GET! -

seriously, i see no issue in u getting to YJC.
What your purpose in going to JC? to study? to make friends?
The school may be run down and doesnt look prestigious but its the attitude of the student that counts. and when you said that you feel better when you only see YJC is a top 10 JC it only show you care about your face.
Come on lar.. life is more than just your face. People can put you down in anyway they want but at the end of the day, its whether you make the right choice.
Afterall like wat FI said, at the end of the day, you will be taking the same A level paper like other school.
