the charges are the same for 3G and 2.5G GPRS so use 3G if possible. 3G is not available in underground tunnels and certain obscure locations though so u just have to use GPRS. nothing changes just that the pages load slower. -
I've been using the N80 for more than 6 months now and I must say that I'm not very satisfied with it.
Firstly, though the camera is 3 megapixels, the picture quality is not very good due to the lack of autofocus, and you can forget about taking outdoor night shots as the flash is pathetic.
Secondly, the Symbian OS is very unstable in my opinion, and prone to hang or restart on its own rather frequently without warning.
Thirdly, the battery life, at 3 days max, is quite poor.
Lastly, for some reason the antenna is rather inefficient, and during calls it would warm up rather alarmingly. Goodness knows how many of my brain cells have been killed by the resulting radiation.
Hence, my most sincere advice to you is to buy any other phone than the N80, and try as much as possible to avoid Symbian OS ones. -

Din regret using a plastic protective cover for it's front and back panel back then. Cos if u noticed when smsing... u can hear eeek eeek sounds from the battery cover side. With a thicker plastic cover, the irritating sound gone.
Yes, the quality of shots from the onboard camera ain't good but wth... it's a camera phone not a dedicated digi cam. It's is a decent phone with all the frills and does comes with some shortcomings tho. -

s40 no good. adapt urself to s60/80/90 la...
s60 phones can do alot more things than s40(6288 is s40).
