Isn't the purpose of being a monk is to attain enlightment? That means mediating and not letting yourself get distracted. Even churches have to be accountable, so what about these? I would very much like to know where those 5 ipods go to.
btw, I saw a nun going to a $2 store and looking through lunchboxes and stuff. Wonder what she was intending to do, maybe buying presents for needy children? That would be understandable. But 5 Ipods are just not logical for gifts. -

Still illogical. Why not stick to CD players at least? Besides, Ipods are so expensive, they are good targets for theft I guess. -

My parents tell me of a monk who frequents one 4D shop in Bedok all the time. Once they see him ...for a week , can't buy 4D or else sure lose.

During my ah gong's funeral in M'sia there was this monk wearing big gold specs. After the funeral about a few weeks later i was cycling at east coast park and that exact monk cycled past me. He was wearing normal clothes (not saffron robes). Then i was like WTF??!!??
Looked like he was on holiday or something...
