yesterday one guy waved at me and so I waved back... then he talked to me like we were old friends... when he came near, I noticed that his front teeth was missing and rotting... next he told me his father just died... cut a long story short he wanted money and so I gave him $10/- because I not sure whether if I knew him from army (NS) or not...
he wanted more and promised to return the money but I told him that he did not need to return the money and if he needs more to get it from other people as I was willing to give him $10 only... he started to protest and I walked away and he thanked me...
up till now I have no idea I know him or not... -

There was a time when my friends and I were coerced to buy a pen for $5 at the Pasir Ris Interchange by one organisation without proper licence... There was a slip of paper at the back that states the purchase of the pen was for commercial purposes. That was when we realised that we were duped... well, i expected it... Each of us chipped in, so it was sub-divided to $1 per person.
But what was worse was that soon after, a great company of people came towards our direction and asked for our 'support' in this 'promotion' or whatever charity thingy... selling the same, worthless pen of course. When we politely declined and told them that we have already made a purchase, one of the men said,"All of you guys have gotten one?"
These people are only out to pocket hard-earned money of the citizens! They should in fact go look for a ''proper'' occupation instead of participating in such activities that go against their conscience!

While i was standing around the city hall MRT, some indian from some organization came and told me some sad story about him going to jail and unable to find a job. At first he said that it was not a donation. After telling his story, he told me to buy a pen for charity for $2!!!! The pen was freaking ugly. Out of compassion i gave him the 2 bucks. I thought that by buying a pen, i would have an excuse not to buy another pen from those ppl.
In like a few seconds, a few other people from the same organization came and wanted me to buy another pen for $2. I told them that i had already bought one. But they insisted that i buy another. I was like WTF????!!! I refused to buy another pen.
Then came this auntie who wanted me to buy another pen. I was f**king pissed already and she still insisted that i buy the pen. I told her off that i had already bought one, that it was very expensive and the pen was damn ugly. Then, SHE RETALIATED BY TELLING ME OFF THAT IT WAS FOR CHARITY. I wish i could just slap her
I think the entire f**king thing was just a f**king SCAM.... -

wah...my one told me tt he is from boys home and ask me not to look down on him as he is trying to help charity now. And the pen is ya, ugly. Than a grp of them at Plaza Sing there....all like gangster...

Selling pens for charity i have not seen b4,
but saw a few times an ang moh, he bring a basket of soft toys with him, usually go to fast food restaurant and start to place a soft toy on every table,
when the very first time i see this, i was thinking "wa.. today so good ah, fast food restaurant giving away free soft toy ah.." then after awhile he started to collect them back, then i know actually he is trying to sell the toy lar.

since such thing are scam , how do they manage to get the license , also encounter alot of sell pen sell ticket wan.
And if the license can be counterfeit , why no police take action
My way of avoiding them : when they ask me to buy , i say i already bought before in another place. Or just be alert , dun step on the land mines
btw , no offence to the charity , i alway support the tin can selling ticket but i really hate those selling item , alway request so much $$$ -

haha got one middle age man come up to me at bugis last year, he said shuy ger pls don8, with supper bloken engrish he spoke to me and waving a slip of paper, persuading me to drop some coins into his home made can lol, all the way to the toilet....! i did not even bother about him...
if im not wrong, not sospose to ask for donations under a roof, unless it is allowed. -

Oh.. One indian man approach me to sell those pens. I told him no firmly and he stared at me for like 5 secs? I stared back at him and he walked away.
