Thus, whether the underaged girl actually gives her consent to sex is deemed irrelevant by the law.

  The law has its reasons to protect the girls.
  
  Although a 14 yr old may be willing at this moment to have sex but when the time she is mature enough to think maturely likely she might had regretted the decision. what's the bloody problem with waiting for a few more years to do that? aren't you just desperate that's all and being selfish without sparing a thought on the girl? Children having sex does have negative effects on their adulthood. Their perspective and how they treated themselves could be quite different from others. So just spare a tot for the little girl than your selfish urge.

Thus even if that underaged girl actually consents, the law disregards the consent so that the perpetrator of sex with the underaged girl will still be liable for statutory rape.
  
  This is a good law as it protects the young and innocent.
