There are some fundamental reasons why scientists cannot be "religious"...
Science builds from "truths" upon "truths"
Religion based on "beliefs" upon "beliefs"
for example... religion... "We believe/assume God exists and so ... what is God like?"
science.. "how can you ever go to the next step "what is God like?" when you have not established that "God exists"?
religion... "Believe first! Believe first!"
science... "crap" -
Religion & intelligence have no connection at all - u will always have smart & not so smart people from all religions & it is dangerous to make generalise statements just based on anecdotal (rather than scientific) data more so in view of sg being a multi racial, multi cutural & multi religious country.
So better close shop asap. -

Where got such thing? You have generalised far too liberally and guilty of stereotyping! Just as there are less intelligent Buddhists, so too are there brilliantly intelligent ones......... I oso personally know Christians who are S-T-O-O-P-I-D as well as those that are Mensa-grade ones........

A more accurate intelligence profile of homo sapiens (u & me) will be the the bell curve also known as the normal distribution curve where most of us r in the middle (average intelligence) of the bell graph with the left & right extremes indicating high intelligence & low intelligence. This bell curve cuts across all colour, race & creed & I believe that it is the most accurate & scientific picture reflecting the intellitual distribution of the human race. -
